We stayed two separate nights here in different rooms. The first was the Albert. This room faced the road and train tracks and was a little noisy (though had a better view of the mountains). It had a small sitting area with TV and small kitchenette type set up. The bed was on the other side - you couldn't see... more

We stayed here on a wonderful trip to Canada in Sept. The room was very clean, the staff was very nice and friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and the price was reasonable considering that every place in this part of Canada is overpriced. Overall we were quite pleased and definitely would stay here again. more

Excellent place to stay and less expensive than anything in Banff yet very close to all activities. Very nicely decorated, very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. They served an excellent breakfast, which was included in the price of the room. We would most definitely recommend this Inn to anyone travelling in the area. more

We've just returned from a four night stay at the Inn and I wouldn't like to recommend it to anyone. What lets it down is the attitude of the staff. Also, beware that the descriptions of the rooms on the internet don't make it clear that some rooms are divided into two, with the TV being in the kitchen area.... more

My wife and I spent one night there last week, Sept. 2007. It was a great choice and I recommend both the hotel and the restaurant. We chose a "cozy room" to save money since we would be there just one night. It was a nice room with a small bath, sink in the room. We peeked at the other... more

The Georgetown Inn is one of the best places to stay. It is so confortable. The rooms are well furnished and all the equipment is first class. The place is so clean . The breakfast excellent. The Miners Lamp pub restaurant which is in the Inn is excellent value for good food...wouldn't stay anywhere else when in this area -... more

We spent a very relaxing two days at the Georgetown Inn en route to the rest of the Rockies. We booked a Victoria Room and found the room very well thought out, and the hot tub was a real treat, especially as it was in the bedroom itself! Our bathroom could have done with updating though. The pub/restaurant served good... more

This Inn was more than we expected! The staff was very helpful and friendly, and was always ready to give advice, directions, etc. The Inn was recently remodeled (our room had a gas fireplace) and is clean and up-to-date. They provided WiFi access in all rooms, and numerous little extras (an electric tea kettle as well as a coffee maker!).... more

We stayed at the Georgetown on August 14th, for one night, thinking it would be quieter than Banff.. Climbing up a maze of stairs wasn't much fun w/ my bad knee..the young lady at the desk didn't offer to carry bags..as another traveller mentioned, the furniture looked more like "Aunt Marthas well ~worn ~farm furniture" than antiques.. We stayed in the... more

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of two weeks in the rockies. The hotel is on a busy road in Canmore and is pseudo English country pub in style. Check In - efficient but not exactly welcoming. We had stayed places that were much friendlier and it does make a big difference to the overall impression of a... more
