We never stayed there. Our airline delayed us for a day which changed our entire itinerary. We notified the owners a day and a half before we were to check in and they insisted on charging us for a night. The owner stated " we are not responsible for airline delays." I stated to him that we notified him as... more

This "guest" has agreed to a cancellation policy of two days at the time he booked a room with us. He notified us only one day (which is within the two day period he agreed on) before his arrival that he can not make it. This comment does not reflect at all the services we provide. This guest has broken...

Our party consisted of 3 adults - my husband, my brother, and my teenage daughter. We spent 8 nights in the Mount Temple Loft room (the one with the queen bed downstairs and the loft upstairs with 2 twin beds). The purpose of our trip was to hike as much of the Canadian Rockies as we could in such a... more

My husband and I stayed at the Lady MacDonald Inn over the Easter holidays for a quiet get-away and that is what we had at Lady MacDonald Inn. Peter was a great host and Tammy's gourmet breakfasts a real treat. The room was clean and comforable. We enjoyed the treats in the common room..chocolate popcorn, nuts, almond, and cookies. Also Peter had lit a... more

We planned to spend a single night here, our first in the Rockies after landing in Calgary in early afternoon. The next day we headed deeper into the mountains for three nights in a cabin, but enjoyed our stay at Lady Macdonald so much that we cancelled our remaining reservations and spent our last three nights here, too. Peter and... more

We stayed at Lady MacDonald for 2 nights, looking for a peaceful retreat, to escape the busy life of Calgary. We were not disappointed! The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Tammy cooked absolutely gourmet breakfasts and Peter consistently provided warm and helpful hospitality. Thank you so much. I plan to be back! more

We stayed one night at the Lady MacDonald and had a wonderful experience. The facility is run and operated by the owner Peter and family. Peter is very personable and cares about his guests' quality experience. We chose the Three Sisters room with the double jacuzzi tub and fireplace, spectacular mountain views and a clean and spacious area. There is... more

We spent three glorious days at the Lady MacDonald Inn. It is in such an accessible location, yet is very tranquil both inside and out. The breakfasts were outstanding. After breakfast my husband and I would sit at one of the outside tables to read the paper. Little bunnies would almost come up to us as we sat there enjoying... more

Our group of 5 friends stayed in the Retreat room. We loved the snacks set out all day, super breakfasts, and hospitable hosts. They allowed us to check-in early and later we enjoyed the porch and sitting area. Overall, super. more

We were looked after well at the Lady Macdonald Inn despite being very late arrivals due to a delayed flight. We stayed in the Chinook Room. The bed was extremely comfortable; being able to open the window was refreshing, even on a rainy night, the furniture included other comfortable chairs and masses of beautifully embroidered cushions. The bathroom was nicely... more

My wife took me there for my 56th birthday, we stayed in the Palliser Room. We had a very good time, it was a very nice atmosphere. The staff was great, and helped us with any questions we had. Chef Tammy even shared her recipies with my wife. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a... more
