We stayed at Assiniboine, this Aug 2007. 2days. Cabins were better standard than expected 2adults,2 teenage kids sharing.clean comfortable, great food.great ambiance. communal dinin g rustic dining room and lounge. shower block and sauna were basic but clean. Outdoor outhouses take some getting used to, definately need a torch for these and getting around lodge at night. Knowledgeable guides, great... more

Our group of 10 people booked the lodge in December 2006 for two nights in June 2007. One of the couples had to cancell two weeks prior to the reservation because of a medical emergency and received no refund on their full payment. We also had to cancell three days prior to the trip because of illness and also received... more

I can't say enough --- scenery, staff, hiking, food were all tremendous. Some may think the sleeping accommodations are primitive, but they were comfortable. more

I have done ski mountaineering most of my life. I have typically skied in to big mountains, pitched a tent or dug a hole in the snow, and burrowed in to live like some primitive tunneling animal to escape the carnivorous cold of the winter Rockies.
