We spent 3 nights in Mount Assiniboine Lodge and 2 nights in one of the private cabins. Sepp, Barb, Andre and the staff did an amazing job with the fantastic food, incredible guided hikes and making us feel like family in this world class locale. If it is a once in a lifetime opportunity or an annual retreat, here is... more

We stayed at the lodge August 23rd for 3 nights. The minute I stepped off the helicopter I knew this was a special place. We stayed in a lodge room (Glacier Lily) which was small with a double bed but was adequate for the two of us. The room was clean and there was a hot/cold water sink outside our... more

We were unable to book into the lodge but booked into the huts nearby. It was truly a memorable experience. The accomodation is rustic, like going back to another era. The view from the lodge deck is of Mount Assiniboine. The casual atmosphere in the lodge encourages all visitors to meet and socialize. Talk centres around hiking and wildlife sightings... more

Assiniboine Lodge is amazing…it is really hard to describe. We just returned from a 2 week vacation in the Canadian Rockies, and this was the “high point” in the stay. We’ve done a lot of hike-in lodges (you can actually helicopter into this lodge as well), and this is head-and-shoulders above the rest. Location, staff, food, Location, rooms, atmosphere…and of... more

The food were mediocre and salty. The rate per day is expensive for what they offered. Will not recommend to others. more

My wife and I just returned from our stay at Mt. Assiniboine Lodge and we were just blown away! Everything concerning our trip was just fantastic. Our stay was for 5 days and 4 nights. Luckily, we had nothing but glorious sunshine. We were fortunate to get the best cabin on the property, Mt. Assiniboine cabin. It comes with the... more

Our group of 10 people booked the lodge in December 2006 for two nights in June 2007. One of the couples had to cancell two weeks prior to the reservation because of a medical emergency and received no refund on their full payment. We also had to cancell three days prior to the trip because of illness and also received... more

I can't say enough --- scenery, staff, hiking, food were all tremendous. Some may think the sleeping accommodations are primitive, but they were comfortable. more

I have done ski mountaineering most of my life. I have typically skied in to big mountains, pitched a tent or dug a hole in the snow, and burrowed in to live like some primitive tunneling animal to escape the carnivorous cold of the winter Rockies. This has all been worth it to be priviledged to enjoy uncrowded mountains in... more
