The CPR room was nice and clean, very comfortable bed. It has a very small TV but hey thats not why we went to the mountains. Sue and Dave were very friendly and quite helpful suggesting appropriate hikes and restaurants (Sue even got us in to a popular restaurant last minute for my birthday). The eggs benny in the morning... More

Well.....my husband and I spent our second visit to Canmore at Ambleside Lodge AGAIN....in the same room! We arrived on Dec. 23rd and departed (sadly) on the 29th. Sue and Dave Booth, yet again, made our 2nd visit better than the first in July, 2008. I can't begin to explain how wonderfully we became friends this visit with Sue and... More

I was looking for a quiet place to stay in the rockies for a weekend and do some writing. Ambleside was just the thing and Sue and Dave were more than accommodating and welcoming. I had the wilderness room which is a bit smaller but the bathroom is a little more private with a tub than the other one. I... More

We spent the past weekend with Sue and Dave, and we must say this was the most lovely experience. Sue creates the most beautiful homestyle breakfasts with a gourmet flare and Dave's knowledge of Canmore and surrounding areas as well as his willingness to share that knowledge and anything else that can be of assistance in making your time spent... My wife and I have made this little B&B a mainstay for vacationing in the Rockies. The Hosts Dave and Sue are very wam and inviting. They have a comedic charm that is rare. We simply cannot say enough about how rejuvinating the stay is every year. Nestled in heart of Canmore this B&B is idle for going out for... More

Clean, comfy room in a nice house in Canmore. Sue made lovely breakfasts, presented in an artistic fashion. Dave, a local guide, gave us invaluable insider's information about where and how to find wildlife. The combination of a comfortable, cozy home and the wealth of local information makes Ambleside a terrific place to stay. More

We stayed here for 2 nights with another couple at the beginning of our 3 week Canadian adventure. The lodge was very homely. We arrived early but were able to store our bags and then we went out to explore Canmore which has loads to recommend it. We also did the hike up to Grassi Lakes which turned out to... More

Enjoyed our one night stay here. Lovely home. Just like a mountain home cabin. Pleasant atmosphere. Quiet and private. There is a hot tub, although we didn't get to use it due to the weather and short stay. Close to restaurants. We just walked a couple of blocks to The Wood. Nice B&B for the money. The rooms are a... Sue and David make you feel very welcome, as if you are coming home. Besides this they prepare very delicious breakfasts! Sue even took us on a private wildlife watching tour! Audrey and Robin More

The location is perfect for couples or families traveling from Calgary to Banff and Jasper. Sue cooks the best breakfasts I've ever eaten. They will keep you going through any day hike. Dave is an enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable outdoors-man. He is well versed in the terrain, flaura and fawna of the area and his tips for "must sees" are... More
