My girlfriends and I spent a weekend at the "Ambleside Lodge" and we had an amazing time. It was not my first time at this bed and breakfast, but each time I go, Sue and Dave are such wonderful hosts. I have never disappointed with my stay. Sue and Dave make sure every detail of your stay is perfect from... more

Sue and David deserve the highest award for being such marvellous hosts. They are very welcoming and helpful. We only stayed for 3 nights, and wished that we had booked for a week to enjoy relaxing in this 'home from home' (and explore the Canmore area further). David's notes and suggested itineraries for touring and seeing the area around Banff... more

Our 3 days at Ambleside Inn were truly wonderful. The Booths are a very charming energetic British couple with interesting stories of their own life adventures. We felt totally a home and included. Susan's breakfasts each morning were delightfully creative and very nourishing for our day of hiking. David, retired military and now a guide, was very knowlegable and offered... more

We have never stayed in a more welcoming B&B. It made our holiday to come home from a day on the mountain to a warm and relaxing enviroment. Waking in the morning to the smell of freshly cooked breakfast to set us up for the day. And the extensive knowlege of the local area from places to visit, eat out... more

Best B&B in the Rockies. Spotless clean rooms, cosy friendly inclusive atmosphere and breakfasts to give up your diet for. Local information and advice was spot-on. Able to walk to sample superb restraunts and lively, local night life if required. We'll be back! best more

Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz was right when she said "There's no place like home" and that is definitely what I experienced when I sayed with Dave and Sue at Ambleside Lodge. I travel for business and trust me when I say it's nice when you can find a place that feels like home and your hosts make you... more

Sue and Dave are lovely hosts! Sue's breakfasts are hearty, healthy and delicious. Dave's enthusiasm for the outdoors makes hiking an adventure. Ambleside is cozy, warm and welcoming - a home away from home. The lodge is clean, spacious, comfortable, and consistent. I have recommended Ambleside to my friends and they have come back with great reviews and many have... more

Sue and Dave are the perfect pair to run this lovely 3 room B&B. Their British hospitality and warmth, their knowledge of the entire Banff, Canmore and Kananaskis area, their lovely Great Room to relax in....and Sue's breakfasts!!!....all make this a very excellent choice while exploring the region. On a quiet street, close to great local restaurants too and a... more

We are so pleased we spent several days in Canmore rather than rushing here there and everywhere trying to do too much. Our stay with Sue and Dave was the perfect introduction to Canada. Ambleside Lodge is a credit to them - the place is very welcoming and homely ,spacious and spotless. Sue's breakfasts leave everyone elses standing - they... more
