The rooms are dated - we had a sitting room - but again with old weathered furnishings. The room was dusty - so had to dust with spare towels (yes I am the guest!). The lights are broken - so the one of the bed side lamp shades dropped off! The windows are filthy. The shower makes a noise! The corridors... More

We were very unhappy with the room that we had. We had a 'suite' and it was old and dingy. The bathroom counter was marked and stained, as was the carpeting. The mattresses are old, flat and terribly uncomfortable. Just to top it off the 'heated' indoor swimming pool was cold and the outdoor hot tub was WAY too hot!... More

First the good: This hotel is in beautiful CANMORE, AB. That's all. After that it goes downhill fast. We were booked into rm 326. The chair had disgusting stains on it. There were more stains behind the toilet and on the curtains. We asked to see 2 more rooms (#322, 325) and each had a list of deficiencies. (Holes in... More

This was the second occasion we had stayed here, this time being for 3 nights. The previous visit 4 years ago was OK. This time on trying to check in we were asked if we were part of the wedding party. Answering 'No' we were told they were receiving preference and we would have to come back in an hour!... More

We did not book for the weekend until a few days beforehand, and found most places booked. We are members with Choice Hotels, and have usually had decent luck. It was quite expensive, but probably not unexpected for this area. The room is a suite, and having a separate living room is nice. However, this is no breakfast that is... More

This 2 night stay was my second - I had been here for 3 nights in 2012. Canmore is a good base to explore the Canadian Rockies - cheaper and much less kitsch than Bamff or Lake Louise. You are still paying at least a $50/night 'location premium' over what a similar room would cost in other cities/towns. The hotel... More

Acceptable hotel. Not much more. Nothing disastrous, nothing fabulous. For the price and the availability, I suggest staying in Canmore instead of Banff. This hotel is an acceptable choice. But don’t expect a lot of luxury. The furniture is old and the rooms are at best reasonably clean. The beds weren’t too comfortable either. My bathroom was in good condition.... More

Went on Booking.com to book this for same day traveling. Good rate & availability. Easy to find. Check in clerk very slow with people before us & ourselves even tho' we had pre-booked but was pleasant enough. Pleasantly surprised by room size as bedroom actually separate. Went down to front desk to see if they located our Choice member number,... More

We'd originally planned to stay in Banff but couldn't deal with the touristy atmosphere and crappy traffic - the whole place was just too kitschy or something. So we bailed for Canmore and this place had a decent write up from the CAA book. Check in was quick and the girl was quite friendly and chatty. The room was large... More

Where do I start on this one...... The elevator is so slow. The luggage carts could use some work done on them as they don't turn worth a darn. Going down the hallway to our room the carpets look like they haven't been cleaned in a very long time. Get into the room there are stains on the carpets and... More
