This hotel shows its age. The walls are thin enough to hear your neighbour clearing their throat, carpets are worn & dirty and washrooms are small and cramped. I hate to dwell on the negatives but it's hard to ignore dirty carpets, odd smells, cramped rooms (especially the bathroom) and the absolute atrocious water quality of the pool and hot tub. I have stayed at this hotel in the past and it never fails me. Great location right off the highway (but you don't hear it), train tracks across the street - but they don't bother me at all. Staff are always friendly rooms are comfortable and the price you just can't beat. This is my hotel whenever I visit Canmore. more
