Black mold in the bathroom and the music from the run down bar will keep you awake all night. Bedding looks like its been there for 50 years. Cheap but not worth the money. Food at the restaurant was ok but service wasn't great and the staff at check in not very friendly.

This hotel needs a serious make over the bedding looks to be about 50 years old, the carpets were badly stained and the place stunk of old cigarettes. Not to mention my husband and I both got sick after eating in the restaurant. I would not recommend staying here.

The rooms were nicely renovated and comfortable. Great value, very clean and comfortable. I didn't realize this was a historical building. There are beautiful pictures framed of the surrounding area all over the hotel. The resteraunt was very nice and had excellent food, I will recommend this place to everyone :)

This is a difficult hotel to rate. It is situated in Old Drinnan Town, a few kilometres from the main state highway and not particularly easy to find. The hotel is rather dated in appearance and situated in a not particularly inspiring shopping centre. There is no dedicated hotel carparking. There was a lot of dirt on the stairs leading... More

Rooms were clean. Property was pet friendly. Staff was friendly, efficient, knowledgable, and good looking just for good measure. (Not really a selling feature, but it didn't hurt!) Bed was comfortable, and everything was well maintained and functioned correctly. The breakfast in the Restaurant was also quite a pleasure. But the value for the money is what stood out the... More

The room is spotless and spacious. Even the bathroom has a lot of space. The double beds were comfy. We also like the power strip for our power-hungry electronics. The room key is old-fashioned (a large metal key), which made us reminiscent of the good old days. This is a nice and convenient hotel. There is a grocery store and... More

Perhaps they've upped their game in the past year, otherwise I don't get the over the top negative reviews others have posted. We were on the second floor facing the street and it was very quite. We had a very large suite, clean and comfortable. WiFi worked very well. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast.... More

I grew up in Hinton and actually worked at the Athabasca restaurant when I was a teenager. So when my husband and I came into town to visit family. My sister suggested that we stay at the hotel because they supposedly renovated and the prices were decent... plus the hotel was close to her house.I was horrified when I saw the room!... We picked this hotel because it was off the hwy and we thought would be quiet. It would be perfect if I was a looking for cheap smoky and dirty. Water was copper colored, cigarette burns in vinyl floor in bathrm in a non smoking room. No on site parking, luggage carts or personality! Absolutely never come back!

This is an older property located about 6 km from town in a small mall. Our non smoking room was on the second floor where you could cut the smoke with a knife. No elevator or ice machine, the air conditioner wasn't working initially but started to work on it's own after a while. The room itself was okay but... More
