As with all reviews, I'd love to write a nice one to praise the excellence and efforts of the motel staff. Unfortunately, regarding this motel I cannot. The only upside to this motel is that it was situated lakefront with a beautiful view, and a dock. However, the motel is very expensive for how old and cheap looking it is.... More

Very excited when we showed up to the motel as it is in a great location and the hotel is older but the beach was nice and set up very quaint. We went with a cheaper place as we were adventuring around osoyoos and surrounding areas. After an evening in penticton and the following morning left early for breakfast and... More

To the complainers: It's not a Best Western so if you were looking for that then pay the Best Western prices and go across the street. Stayed there with our two kids - front staff is nice. Room was decent - clean and comfortable but a little small and plain (cinder block walls). Bathroom was recently updated. The view from... More

Sun Beach Motel could be a nice motel if the owners put some time and money into it. Some of the rooms have been renovated, ours wasn't. Here's a list of problems with the motel in general. 1. The stairs on the corner of the hotel tilt at an angle and appear to be unsafe. 2. The picnic tables in... More

We stayed at this motel for 3 days. The motel looks run down and the rooms are old and out dated. The first night was ok with not to much noise but the next couple of nights where horrible. The motel turned into party central. Kids running and screaming up and down the halls till 1am, adults yelling and screaming... More

This is an older, reasonably maintained small property with a great waterfront location away from the crowds on the other side of the main street/strip. A good value with the right expectations. Several rooms are newly-renovated apartment style, and some are older humbler vintage style. (By "vintage" I don't mean trendy at all, this is by no means a boutique... More

We stayed at this motel on the insistence of my girlfriend, who stayed there with her family as a child and wanted to go back. I was pretty concerned based on the opinions I'd seen here. However, Sun Beach Motel has recently renovated all of its larger suites, and I found the suite we stayed in (2 double rooms +... More

this place is what you picture when someone says "cheap motel" (but was quite expensive). the rooms are old and rundown. the decor appears to be whatever they could find on garbage day by the road. i think the lamps were older than my grand mother. painted cinderblock walls make the rooms cozy, lol. we should have known that a... just came home from 3 days with my Grandson at Sand Beach. We had a lovely 2 bedroom suite at the far end of the upper level. We found it to be clean quiet and the amenities were adequate. I dont know where these other reviews are coming from. The owner was pleasant and very friendly and if we needed... More

I mistakenly booked us here, thinking it was the "Sandy Beach Motel" which is on the other side of the main road on a larger beach. This place has virtually no beach. The 1 bedroom suite was very outdated but clean. It had a brand new sleeper sofa but the rest of the furniture was 1970's. This was just the... More
