$150 for an average bed for the night BUT no drinkable water, no breakfast, not even a coffee . . . Poor . . . On a saturday near Canmore it was the last available place, Hardly surprising ! On the good side the Husky next door has coffee and a well priced breakfast.

Clean and convenient but don't expect much more. Good for a cheap 1 or 2 night stay near the park or last chance lodging on your way by. But if you're looking for extras, you won't find them here. A dated building providing a minimal service in an antiquated, sleepy, mountain-side community. If you're okay with that, it'll be just... More

Although this place needs some renos and updating, it is always fairly priced ($50-$100 depending on season). A good place for a stop over, and pet friendly. Great to see a wheelchair accessible room with a fairly new shower.

Firstly, we booked the room, and the following morning my son was sick. I called to cancel and they said no. I called the online booking company and they tried. They said the owner was not sympathetic at all. So we came in, not wanting to waste the $150 and I once again, told him my son is sick. My... More

Very friendly and helpful staff, room was very clean. We got a great deal which is why we stayed for so long. Made friends in the communal kitchen. The only downfall is the highway is noisy but only during the day (quiet at night) Big Horn has lots of character. Thank you

We thought that choosing a motel outside Banff National Park would result in a savings, but we did not get our money's worth. The place cost 1,100 (Canadian) for 6 nights, and for that, we did not receive any cleaning service to the room: no cleaning, no clean towels, no soap until we asked for it. The blanket had a... Cheap em cosy place, but only for a few days, because it doesn`t offer any food, and it is in front of the road which may annoy your sleep. We cooker our breakfast in the picnic table in front of the hotel.

Staining on the bed sheets, curtains and just about everything you can imagine. Feels unclean just being inside ( Room 15). Everything is outdated, which would be fine if it was clean. Look elsewhere, you won't regret it.

We stayed at the Bighorn in October 2014 en route back to Alberta from BC. Overall we gave it a 3 Value --- a 4/5, price was about $60 all in for a single room Location --- right on the Trans Canada highway. Dead Man's Flats isn't real close to anything (Canmore is about 10 km away). One could use... More
