We needed a large 2 bed 2 bath place where we could spend some quality time with adult children and enjoy some home cooked meals together. We lucked into a very good weekly rate at this resort. Previous reviews set our expectations, which most are very accurate of this facility, thank you to all who wrote. Our chalet (#45) at... More

My wife and I found Banff Gate Mountain Resort through an RCI exchange. We had a two bedroom chalet with stunning views across Dead Man's Flats to the mountains on the other side of the valley. We had friends staying with us for 4 of the 7 days we were there. As the purpose of our stay was skiing, the... More

Dear BaldEagle6262, Thank you for your feedback and review. I am very pleased to learn that you enjoyed your recent stay at Banff Gate Mountain Resort. The resort is certainly a great base camp to access all of the activities in the Canmore, Banff and Lake Louise areas including the 4 ski resorts. We do have a number of projects... More

The resort is made up of individual "cottage" like units. You park your car right next to the unit. The units are set up as 3 horizontal rows going up the mountain. We were in unit 41 on the upper most row, row 37 - 45. We could see the mountains from our living & dining room (one big space)... More

Dear EPYY, Thank you for your review and feebdack regarding your stay at Banff Gate Mountain Resort. I am happy to learn that you enjoy the spacious 2 bedroom Chalets and the views of the Rockies that they offer. This winter has seen significantly less than average snow fall and had an impact on traditional winter activites in the area... More

This resort meets our needs perfectly. It has the peaceful feeling of seclusion, yet is within 30-45 minutes drive of 4 major ski resorts. There is drive to the door parking and a spacious mud room to accommodate ski gear, a large sunny deck with a bbq, a loft master suite, with en suite and jetted tub. A second bedroom... More

I stayed at the Banff Gate Mountain Resort for 6 days and loved every thing about it! I had never been up to this area before and let me tell you the mountain. view is breath-taking! No picture I took could capture the beauty!! (Which means you'll have to go see it for yourselves!) The property is a tad bit... More

We have stayed here on and of for over a decade. The units are spacious but in need of updating and repair. We had to clean the tub before we could use it and the mattresses felt as their best days were behind them. We only stayed for one night as there was bed bugs. My wife was born quite... More

We took a family vacation mid October. The cabin's were exactly as advertised a little dated but comfortable. The loft bedroom with king sized bed was big enough for an additional queen air mattress while the lower bedroom had a queen bed. Two full bathrooms but only one shower. The full sized kitchen was great for family meals and games... More

The accommodations lived up to their billing on TripAdvisor -- aging rooms and facilities, long overdue for upgrades, but perfectly adequate. As long as the heat is working. Alas, ours was not. We arrived the day after Christmas and found our cabin at 53 degrees Fahrenheit. I adjusted the thermostat to 70 and turned on the gas fireplace. An hour... More

This was our 5th stay in these Cabins. We spent Christmas week with Family. The loft bedroom upstairs had a king size bed and we put our kids on air mattresses on the floor of the bedroom as it is large. There was a small TV and bathroom upstairs. Downstairs is a bedroom with a queen size bed and we... More

I have never both liked and disliked a place so much at the same time! I don't even know what number rating to give it! I love: you have your own cabin in the woods, away from the commercialism of Banff and Canmore, yet you can drive to either in just a few minutes. The cabins are huge and can... More
