I can only echo the many positive things that have already been said about Allison and Paul's hospitality, the substantial and delicious breakfasts and, especially, their expert advice on what to see in the area and how to get there. I stayed there for two nights before flying back to the UK (it is less than an hour's drive from... More

Let me just say Allison and Paul are amazing hosts. The minute I met them, it felt like I was reacquainting myself with dear friends I'd lost contact with. I immediately felt at home with them and thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Panorama Heights. The sitting room was so warm and inviting. I was deliriously happy to spend my evenings... More

This is a great place to stay; easy to get to Auckland and close to the wonderful west coast beaches. Food scrumptious and plentiful, accommodation spaces excellent, and that view ... Allison and Paul were very welcoming, helpful and non-intrusive hosts. I loved the fact that they had pre-printed detailed instructions about how to get to all the local attractions.... More

We stayed at Panorama Heights for 9 nights during the Rugby World Cup. It really is the best of both worlds in that you can get to the city in 45 minutes and also drive only 20 minutes to beautiful and rugged beaches. Allison and Paul do their utmost to provide a genuine home from home for their guests and... More

The view out the window from the living room (and from the dining area and off the deck) is a "jaw dropper." As one of the proprietors pointed out, a view which has the intense greenery of a New Zealand forest in the foreground and the skyline of the City of Auckland in the background is one which never ceases... What an amazing place - the view is just incredible, and so are the hosts! I'm so glad we arrived in time to sit on the balcony with a glass of wine (or two!) and enjoy it before it got too dark. We'd booked dinner as we didn't want to go out in the car again, and Alison and Paul... More

All those "excellent" reviews are dead on - a really great house, stunning view day or night, and for us a near perfect location in the Waitakeres. If I were to move to NZ, I'd want to live here - in this very house. But it'd be a shame for Alison and Paul to give it up because they are... More

On arrival we could not believe how Paul and Allison made us feel right at home. We sat and had tea with them and their friends for approximately 2 hours, just talking. They advised us we had the house to ourselves that evening. We then took their advice and went into town to pick up some food for dinner, spending... More

Stayed here for a few nights between Christmas & New Year on my way out of New Zealand - lovely base from which to explore the Waitakere Ranges and indeed to drive up to the sights of the Northland. Allison & Paul, the owners, extremely kind and friendly. Faultless. More

In early February, 2010, we had the pleasure of beginning our month-long NZ trip at Panorama Heights. We stayed at 9 B&Bs on the North and South Islands and this one is in a tie for the best of all. As we stepped out from our car, we were just gobsmacked by the sultry scents of flowers and luscious plant... More
