This was a lovely little B&B in the quaint town of Devonport. Joy & Howard was wonderful hosts & very welcoming. Joy's knowledge of the area is exceptional. We stayed in the Waterfront room which was very spacious. The only small negative was having to eat breakfast on the balcony or in our room during bad weather which made it... More

Dear Caz H, Thank you so much for your recent stay and for taking the time to write us a review - we really appreciated this. We are glad that you enjoyed the space of the Waterfront room. I'm so glad I chose to stay here on my wedding night. Our reception was in Devonport as well, so we were able to get ready (even before the normal check in time, thanks to Joy and Howard) here. It's a well-lit, breezy and cosy place, with immaculate bathrooms, and amazing service. The rooms were clean, and we particularly enjoyed... More

It was delightful to have such a beautiful bride choose to spend her wedding night at our small B&B. I am sorry that the Waterfront room had already been booked so that we could not offer it to you. Thank you so much for taking the time to write your fabulous review. I know what a busy time this is... More

This was an excellent ending of our four weeks NZ trip. Joy and Howard are really nice people and took so much care of us that it almost felt like children coming back to their parents over christmas. Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to visit mount victoria with Joy (which was a complementary offer), since we had such... More

Thank you so much for taking the time from your busy lives to review our B&B. It is so helpful for us to know what our guests enjoy. I am glad that you had a great time on the other side of the city - returning on the 10 minute harbour crossing is so easy with only 150 metres to... More

We spent 3 days at Joy and Howard's guesthouse. Very good location, only 10min ferry to reach Auckland. Joy and Howard are very welcoming. Joy likes sharing about main points to be visited around Auckland. Room and bathroom are very clean and breakfast was fantastic especially home-made scrambled eggs prepared by Howard. My wife and I planned a few days in Devonport during our trip to NZ and wanted somewhere to stay. She thought Admirals Landing looked good and helped by the tripadvisor reports, we booked a month ago. We stayed there last week (Feb 2015). We travelled by ferry from Auckland city and Admirals Landing is literally a 2 minute walk... More

The location could not be better, on the waterfront steps from the ferries, close to shopping and scenic walks. The room was very comfortable, quiet and we slept well. The bathrooms are wonderful with a bidet and beautiful showe and bathtub. Their is a supply of fruits to snack on plus wine beer and water in the fridge gratis. Joy... More

We stayed in the Paula Room for just 2 nights. Wish we could have stayed longer. The guest rooms are on the 2nd floor and are immaculate. The Paula room had an extremely comfortable bed and pillows and a delicious freshly made breakfast was cooked to order every morning. But the thing we enjoyed most were the hosts, Joy and... More

I stayed here one night before the Auckland Marathon - it was very close to the start line so an ideal location. I had the Waterfront room which was spotlessly clean, spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and well-designed. It had all the amenities I could possibly want and the price was very reasonable. Joy and Howard were... More
