Great location as it was central to where we wanted to visit on the Saturday and Sunday. Food was excellent and service was good. The room was of a good size but bed a bit too uncomfortable for us. Would definately stay here again.

Visited this pub and stayed for one night over Valentine's weekend and it was perfect. The rooms are at the back of the pub in the courtyard and were very cosy, clean and quiet. The bathroom could do with updating but we didn't go away to sit in a bathroom so it didn't bother us at all. The country pub... More

The chef is one of the best in the area - do yourself a favour and have something off the specials menu rather than a sandwich. Really worth the extra and the foos is really good. Loads of parking, great pub garden.

We visited as a family group with two caravans, as a pre-Christmas get together, staying in the small site to the rear. Pitching is not easy due to the slope in both directions but we managed it! We did not eat in the pub but visited twice, sampling all the Hook Norton beers on both occasions. The beers were all... More

We've eaten at this lovely country pub a few times in the past, and were lucky enough to get the last table of four for Christmas Lunch this year. The food was plentiful, delicious, and served piping hot on plates hot enough to warrant a warning from the server. In past (with other management), we have had amazing roast dinners... More

Lunch with client; great food and service in this country pub with roaring fire. Great pub food and excellent value for money from menu which caters for most tastes from light snack to write the rest of the day off food, potato skins with our sandwiches lovely touch. Thank you Alistair Dempster!

We have been here several times for lunch, dinner and the occasional pint whilst walking the dog! Without exception, every visit has been a delight. Every member of staff, including the landlord, is smart, attentive, frindly, helpful and efficient. The Sunday Dinners are absolutely gorgeous- as is the rest of the weekend and weekday menu. Extensive vegitarian options, beautiful starters... More

We stayed here as it was local for a friends wedding. The room was lovely and separate to the pub so we could come and go as we pleased. The breakfast was superb! The staff were really friendly and v helpful, they arranged all our taxis to and from wedding... Thank you

Arrived late in the evening as we decided to go on a whim. Able to accommodate us immediately. That said we did have to wait for our drinks for a while, which were given free. We shared a starter & I had the burger which was excellent. There was so much food we couldn't finish it all. The pudding menu... More
