We stayed in Agora for the past 2 nights and had a look at the other places by the lake and decided we were in the most central and atmospheric in the village. It's an earthy place at the end of a 9km drive by the side of the lake. The village of Kapikiri is in the middle of the... More

This is a simple, family-run guesthouse/hotel in a rural village beside Lake Bafa. Open all year. Rooms are simple, en-suite, comfortable enough. Communal areas, inside and outside, are charming and the 'atmosphere' equally so. An ideal base for hiking/walking, as well as visiting the great classical sites of Miletus, Didima etc. The food is exceptionally good traditional Turkish fare. Overall,... More

We were recommended Agora by a travel writer friend. Set in a very Turkish village amidst the historic and very accessible sites and v close to the beautiful Bafa lake. Mitat and his family are wonderful and informative hosts and the food is mainly home produce and sooo good. Looking at a couple of negative reviews, I can only think... More

We stayed in this place after a long day of 9 kilometres long hiking experience and all we needed was a decent sleep. Well, hard to say that we had what we needed... But to be fair, Agora looked like the only feasible option at this part of the country. The rooms are very small, beds not confortable at all.... More

Following a stay with friends the previous year, I returned with my family this summer. This is always a concern, I had recommended it so highly, would they love it as much as I did? Well, luckily they did. Even without Mithat (still in the army), the staff were really friendly and helpful, especially once we tought Kerim to drink... More

One of the strangest places we visited but kind of interesting- We felt that we had a glimpse of village life. The room was comfortable enough, breakfast above average, hosts helpful. The lake was stagnant this time of year but we had awesome ruins on the hillside completely to ourselves (and a stray horse). Be aware- aggressive scarf selling ladies.

Lake Bafa is pretty much in the middle of nowhere so you know in advance that this little pansiyon in a small working village is not going to be glitzy 5 star with all the trappings. But if you want spectacular scenery, good walking and total peace and quiet, this is the place to be. We stayed for 3nights at... More

We enjoyed this place immensely, though I can understand that some people would not. The Pansiyon itself is very nice. the rooms are scattered around amongst lovely gardens - ours was comfortable and clean, though pretty basic. The (essential) air conditioning was adequate, and the bathroom spacious and functional. The food was excellent, and quite varied. Lots of fresh local... More

Charming 4 days spent here, perfect start to our 2 weeks in Turkey. This family run Pansiyon is charmingly staffed in an unpretentious way. Rooms are basic but clean with hot showers. There is also a Hammam but we didn't get around to trying this. Food is excellent, especially the breakfasts with locally made delicious honey and different homemade jams... More

Reserved for two nights and cancelled second night after the first few hours there. We were there in late May and the thing I could not get over in all the reviews I read of this place was that not one person mentioned the fact that the village smelled like animal dung and urine no matter where you went. Our... More
