Don't think the management will object to me plagiarising their motto! It sums up their philosophy perfectly. Food and wine delicious and reasonably priced, especially as part of their sleepover packages. Nice touches throughout such as fresh milk for tea in room, wine decanted etc. Staff friendly, courteous and always willing to help. Management refreshingly honest in saying up front... More

Most staff great but the young 'front of house' lady (who we dubbed the 'Sales Prevention Officer') needs to look elsewhere for employment! Food (lunch) OK, but one part of it was very over-salted. Just not a clue really. We won't be returning. Avoid.

We lunched here on three consecutive days last week whilst on holiday in Wales and the food and service were consistently excellent. This has for several years been our favourite pub for food in the UK and it never disappoints; we cannot praise the chef enough.

I'm disappointed. I've always wanted to eat here but couldn't find the time last time I was passing so I simply dropped in for a drink. It was mid afternoon and there were still lunchtime guests in, clearly having fun, but I felt unwelcome. The pub side has very low soft leather sofas and it must be cosy in winter,... More

We're really sorry to hear you felt unwelcome. We make sure we keep the bar open all afternoon, exactly so that anyone can pop in for a drink, whether local or visitors. We also have kept the sofas and tables in the bar area to provide space for drinking guests, when many food pubs try to put as many eaters... More

Very impressed with the whole experience at Felin Fach. Service was excellent and the food options for my vegan wife were brilliant. Would recommend this place for vegans(phone in advance to notify them) and carnivores like me. Drinks menu is extensive with something for everyone. If you fancy something tasty in relaxed surroundings with attentive and friendly staff, this is... More

As with the Gurnard's Head, the relaxed ambience, cuisine and wonderful staff pay tribute to the Inkin brothers' inspiration and standards. Another lovely stay; we wish it had been longer. The noise from the road subsides after dark and a comfortable night after an excellent meal is assured.

Third time eating at this fantastic place - different companions and different circumstances each time but always relaxed, welcoming, informal and downright brilliant. Great environment, delicious food - not cheap but excellent value for money.

We have never been dissapointed when we visit the Felin Fach Griffin. Situated about 4 miles north of Brecon, this 'foody pub with rooms' is truly dog friendly. Their motto is 'eatdrinksleep' and you can do,all of those things here to a very high standard. Beds are comfortable and food delicious and it's good to see the locals frequenting the... More
