Set in stunning countryside this little pub is ideal for a one night stay, the rooms are clean and have character but the bathroom was small but adequate. Ideally placed for exploring the park. In a quiet location. We had the en suite room. It is fine. Hosts are v friendly and will give advice on walks. Breakfast is very good. We did not eat there in the evening but went to Hay on Wye instead. Pub dog is a real character.

We stayed for 2 nights in the suite of rooms, which were great,very fit for purpose and relaxing. The hosts were lovely, helpful and friendly, though I do blame them for my blisters, as they recommended the mountain walk we did! Breakfast was really good. Firstly terrible parking! Only room for approx 6 cars. No wifi service offered! Despite no mobile service. The hosts were very pleasant. The food was very nice and the service could not be faulted. Lovely B&B run by hospitable couple Sue and Cyd, not forgetting JJ who is equally as welcoming. I spent a day walking in the Brecon Beacons and then stayed overnight in this delightful "olde worlde" pub situated in a tiny quiet village just 3-4 miles north-east of Brecon. Delightful place. Genuinely warm welcome from landlady and locals in the bar. Nobody in the adjoining room so we were invited to use it to watch TV as it had more space. Good solid food, comfortable if simple room, fantastic breakfast. No problems with traffic noise that we noticed, and we live in a quiet village ourselves.

We were on holiday and had several meals here. Sue, the landlady is so friendly and welcoming and JJ the Jack Russell is the same. We have two dogs, one of which is a four month old puppy.
