Set in stunning countryside this little pub is ideal for a one night stay, the rooms are clean and have character but the bathroom was small but adequate. We did not eat here in the evening but the breakfast was superb and the hard working owner very friendly. Do read your booking instructions as the book in time is between... More

Ideally placed for exploring the park. In a quiet location. We had the en suite room. It is fine. Hosts are v friendly and will give advice on walks. Breakfast is very good. We did not eat there in the evening but went to Hay on Wye instead. Pub dog is a real character.

We stayed for 2 nights in the suite of rooms, which were great, very fit for purpose and relaxing. The hosts were lovely, helpful and friendly, though I do blame them for my blisters, as they recommended the mountain walk we did! Breakfast was really good. The pub offers pub grub evening meals, reasonably priced, and as you would expect. If... More

We spent several nights in this pub B&B. Our welcome was warm and friendly, the room was comfortable and quiet, and the breakfats were excellent. Make a point of meeting JJ the friendly resident dog, if you don't he will when you go down to the bar. This pub is in a really quiet area but with excllent access to... More

Firstly terrible parking! Only room for approx 6 cars. No wifi service offered! Despite no mobile service. The hosts were very pleasant. The food was very nice and the service could not be faulted. The mains were reasonably priced and well presented, except maybe the steaks which I thought expensive. The sweets were nice but again over priced. Would recommend... More

Lovely B&B run by hospitable couple Sue and Cyd, not forgetting JJ who is equally as welcoming. We took the suite which meant we had a comfortable lounge to watch TV and read, with a three seater and a two seater settee. Bed was comfortable and despite being above the pub was very quiet. Breakfast is fine, with the chunky... More

I spent a day walking in the Brecon Beacons and then stayed overnight in this delightful "olde worlde" pub situated in a tiny quiet village just 3-4 miles north-east of Brecon. My double room at the front of the building was clean and spacious and tastefully furnished in a country cottage style with pine furniture and a very comfortable bed!... More

Delightful place. Genuinely warm welcome from landlady and locals in the bar. Nobody in the adjoining room so we were invited to use it to watch TV as it had more space. Good solid food, comfortable if simple room, fantastic breakfast. No problems with traffic noise that we noticed, and we live in a quiet village ourselves.

We were on holiday and had several meals here. Sue, the landlady is so friendly and welcoming and JJ the Jack Russell is the same. We have two dogs, one of which is a four month old puppy. They were probably more welcomed than we were! I have never been in a pub which was so laid-back about dogs. Our... More

Stayed only one night. (Would have liked to stay longer but our travel plans didn't allow.) We got a very friendly welcome by the landlady. She gave us a room at the street side of the inn with a nice view of the village of Felin Fach. It is a very quiet place so we had a restful sleep. We... More
