When I was living in Wales, I enjoyed taking a trip over to Brecon and stopping here for a bite to eat with the family. The views from the restaurant are beautiful, the owners and staff always friendly, helpful and accommodating, and the food is great, homely food and affordable. I especially love their desserts (if I can manage one... More

We have just returned from the Old Ford after two nights away with four friends. What a wonderful warm welcome we received, lovely rooms, comfortable, fantastic views, instantly relaxing. We ate both evenings and everyones meal was delicious, the braised ribs historic, good beer and the owners could not do enough to make us feel welcome. Great breakfasts, cooked fresh... More

Sunday lunch at the Old Ford is always a pleasurable experience, the food is excellent, with a variety of meats on offer. Service is prompt, helpful and courteous. Portions are very good, so much so that the delicious sweets available sometimes have to be forgone. We have also lunched on other days and found the same excellent standard. Booking on... More

Our party of 20 staying at a nearby youth hostel had booked tables at another local pub, but on arrival we found the pub had suddenly closed. With the much appreciated help of our taxi drivers [A&A CABS] they called the Old Ford Inn who said they could squeeze us in. On arrival the staff couldn't have been more helpful, on... More

We have enjoyed the food and service many times at the Old Ford Inn and today was no exception. A full Christmas Sunday Lunch was available and so my wife and I had a Turkey and Lamb lunch respectively. The meat is stacked high with a good helping of home made gravy and stuffing, then comes the new potatos and... More

This lovely old Inn with great views has lots of character and serves a good variety of excellent food. The staff are friendly and polite. It is my first choice for a local eating place. Whilst sampling evening meals only to date I am told that their Sunday lunch is also excellent with good sized portions.

Just got back from a weekend here, would highly recommend. The food was lovely, rooms were really nice and the owners and staff were very friendly. Also very helpful in regards to helping us with directions and places we needed the next day. Highly recommend.

Really good quality food. We were visiting the area and booked a table for two. We were sat in the bar but we weren't bothered by this as its nice to mix with the locals!! Food was fairly priced and the portion sizes were fantastic! We had some side orders but really didn't need them as there was plenty of... More
