A pub with good food and accommodation (as the owners describe it). A gem on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, ideal for walkers, tourers and those just wanting a getaway break. Relaxed and welcoming. Note: the Forresters is very dog-friendly, which might suit some but not all.

We stayed at the Forresters a couple of days ago for 2 nights. The room we had was very clean and tidy and everything we needed. Tea and coffee making facilities as well. We ate at the Restaurant on the first night and the food was excellent. My wife and I both had the Haddock, chips and mushy peas they were... More

We had a lovely night there in a four-poster bed. The room wasn't enormous but it had everything that we wanted. We ate in the bar and after a big lunch just chose the meat and cheese ploughman's. One between us would have been plenty. Breakfast was good too.

On both nights we had a very nice evening meal and the breakfast is certainly adequate. We will be certainly be going back.

Having read the rave reviews, we decided to call in here. The ale was spectacular and so we thought we would have another drink and order some food. Whilst waiting to order food, someone who said he was a regular complained that his fish was under-cooked and asked for it to be replaced. I ordered a sandwich on white bloomer... More

We were very sorry to read of your recent visit, though pleased the beer was 'spectacular', the food issue is definitely not the norm as can be seen from other reviews! Due to unforeseen circumstances, our main line chef was unable to work at short notice, and as there is not a plethora of chefs available in our area, we... More

We arrived in Kilburn to find it was a quaint little Yorkshire village and The Forresters Arms to be a cheerful, friendly country pub. We were made welcome and the room, though basic, was comfortable and clean. We had a nice evening meal and breakfast was certainly adequate. We enjoyed our stay and would be more than happy to return.

Just returned from 2 day break, stayed in room 3 above the bar.Sliding door to bar constantly slamming shut and sounded like thunder in room 3. Advise no one to stay in room 3. Stayed with my sister and brother-in-law. We found owners unhelpful and seemed to not like people from Birmingham. Advise caution when booking this hotel, unless from... More

Just returned from another 2 night stay at the fabulous Forrester's Arms. Nigel, Dawn and staff extended their usual warm welcome. This time around my husband and I stayed in room 4 and my sister and brother in law were in room 9. I think we must have stayed in every room over the years we've been visiting Kilburn and... More
