I stayed with a group of friends and our rooms were very comfortable, large and nicely decorated. The owners, Graham and Heather, were very helpful and informative and extremely thorough in "briefing" us, maybe a little too much so - it would've been nice to be left to sort our own sharing of rooms rather than being "allocated" rooms -... Nice room comfortable beds, very clean, your breakfast required the night before though, and the time you would be eating, which was early 7.45-8.45 am.The bus stop for the centre just outside but the last bus back was 8pm,the taxi back was £8.

Heather & Graham make their Guest House a welcoming place to stay. The rooms are nice and the Breakfasts ample. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The only personal note I'd add is if you are a countryside dweller, you will notice the "city road noise" outside. But you should soon get used to this.

Myself and my wife stayed here on our first visit to York for a relaxing weekend . From the start we were made welcome and really well informed of our where abouts and how to get about York . We were given a map and made aware of points of interest and times . Nice quiet guest house morning and... More

Hate leaving bad reviews but I always leave honest ones . I believe in praise where praise is due and honesty where honesty is due. The first point I have to make Is my shock that this place has received 4 stars ? Honestly we were surprised , I'm really not sure how this has happened. It's not up to... More

From the time I arrived at Heathers I was welcomed and looked after. If you are on foot, it is about 25 minutes walk from the centre of town but there is a bus stop just a couple of minutes walk away so it is easy to get back into town. Graham welcomed me and gave me a thorough briefing... More

Very homely and welcoming. Breakfast was very nice, fresh fruit salad, cereal and cooked breakfast. We stayed in the superior double room at the back of the property. Beautiful room with the most comfortable bed and the best view of the garden from the big bay window. Double shower in the end suite bathroom. Fabulous. Would Def stay again

No one should have any hesitation at staying at this lovely bed and breakfast. The house is close to the city, costs £3.70 return, bus drops you off and collects you from the same place opposite the Tourist Information Centre. Graham and Heather are very helpful and considerate host and hostess. If you have a problem Graham is happy to... More

We recently stayed 4 nights at the Heathers Guest House and found our time there to be absolutely delightful! The Fishers are the most gracious hosts and we couldn't have had a better experience. The room was beautiful and clean, the grounds stunning, and they were so accommodating with our breakfast needs and any other needs. Knowing we would most... More

I stayed here for 2 nights with a friend; it was a weekend getaway. The good: - Jolly landlord who is very helpful; provided us with information on what to see and do in York. - Delicious English breakfast; cooked by the landlord himself. - Clean and comfortable rooms, clean toilet, and there's a cute dining room where you eat...
