I loved staying in the Tent Village while we were in Interlaken. We stayed both here and at their other location in town (maybe 0.5 miles away). Bring good directions with you, since it's not easy to walk to from the train stop unless you have more info, take public transit if it's available at that time of day. The... More

We moved from the much busier Balmer's Herberge to the Tent Village, and it was a great move. The tent village is about 10 minutes walk down the road from Balmer's, and is located in a large field just off the main road. The area is surrouned on both sides by large looming mountains and is a fantastic setting. There... More

we stayed here for 3 nights. WOW. it is set in a field and surrounded by mountain peaks. the tents are spacious and clean. one night there was a thunder storm. Youve never experienced a storm until you are in the centre of a mountain range! awesome. I would most certainly stay there again. and recommend it to anyone.

We stayed here as a couple for two nights. It was easy to find and the scenery was amazing. The tents are like private rooms with all the furniture you need. Only bummer we had was the staff didn't tell us we were entitled to a free local bus pass and we found this out from another guest on our... More

As the title suggests, this was a very different experience for us, staying right between the mountains in a tent. And it was totally worth it. The pros: 1. The whole idea itself of staying in a tent right in between nature with some amazing views of the Alps is awesome. 2. Its one of the cheapest accommodations available in... More

Friends and I stayed in the Balmer's Tent Village for a weekend in Interlaken. It's a really cool idea for a hostel, almost like camping, but without the hassle. It's not spectacular, but at 25CHF per night, it was great. There was no one there to meet us after 10PM when we arrived, but there was an envelope waiting for... More

Over the past few years I've made it a point of stopping in Interlaken whenever I can - either as part of a summer vacation to Europe, or at the end of a business trip. This stay was for the later; after 5 days of meetings I dumped my suits at a train station locker, and headed out to Interlaken.... More

There's nothing like waking up in the alps, lounging in the hammocks, slacklining, playing basketball, and resting in the hot tub at night. Switzerland is known to be an expensive country, but you get so much for you money here- I highly recommend it. Don't skip out on Switzerland because of money- we spent the days lounging and hiking (free!)... More

My sister and I stayed here in June, and it was one of my favorite hostels... Great staff (so helpful with suggesting things to do), amazing accommodations, and the coolest common area of any hostel we've seen. I'll definitely be back!

We stayed 1 night in the tent village. Public facilities were clean but we were not as lucky as other reviewers here since our duvet were not very clean. It gets really cold at night in september but I guess it's sort of expected from switzerland. Overall experience was a lot of fun since it was diferrent than other hostels... More
