My father stayed here for a few nights whilst on the island & he could not have been looked after any better. His wish was to stay with a Canarian family & I'm so glad we were able to find this gem of a place as it made his dream come true. Thank you so very much.

El Golfo is a small village far away from the main tourist attractions and therefor a nice and quiet place to be. The streets are ending here so there's no pass through traffic and most likely all visitors wants to enjoy one of the nice fish restaurants situated directly at the sea side offering a wide selection of fresh fish.... This hotel was very much as described, small family run, very clean with simple amenities, but felt it lacked a liitle in atmosphere which meant I would have given it a very good rating rather than average. At night El Golfo shuts down at arount 9pm at least in Feb, and it would have been lovely to have sat in... More

Hotelito is brilliant small hotel well away from the main tourist areas of Lanzarote. El Golfo is a small village with one tiny shop and a selection of sea food restaurants, and it really is on the wild side of the island, with a dramatic coastline. We loved this hotel, it was spotlessly clean, everywhere. We had a large bedroom... More

It seems to be important in other reviews so, we were in Room 6, which is at ground level by the swimming pool, but still with its own patio. This area by the swimming pool is really sheltered from the notorious Canary Island winds. Also we were next door to the breakfast room, but were never aware of that fact.... More

Beautiful position with a great view. Our room was comfortable and warm (which was welcome because the weather was disappointing but I can imagine it could easily get too hot). Very pleasant pool area (too cool to swim but we made use of the great chair swings). Loads of good restaurants to walk to. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was very... More

We spent a lovely relaxing week in this hotel. It is a small family run hotel and the service is very good. It offers a peaceful haven away from the main tourist placed in Lanzarote. We stayed in room 4 which was the only one they had left by the time we booked. This looks out over the national park... More

We arrived in Lanzarote in Oct having booked flights only with the intention of travelling around and staying in small hotels/guest houses. We started off in Playa Blanca and could only find the large impersonal ones which we stayed in for 2 nights as we wanted to explore Playa Blanca. The 3rd night we found L'Hotelito del Golfo and were... More

Neither the village nor the hotel will appeal to those who like vast hotels with kids clubs etc in big bustling resorts. For those of us seeking refuge from all that, it is heaven. Marta and her staff create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and are always happy to accommodate requests. The full occupancy speaks for itself. She was very... More
