We made sure we returned to Sarah's house to kick-start a family holiday to France. Sarah makes you feel at home and we had a lovely evening in the new dining room where Sarah produced a wonderful dinner and lead the banter amongst the guests. It's one of our favourite places to stay.

We stayed at Le Chaton Rouge in 2012 and thought it was so lovely, Sarah made us so welcome and the food was of a very high standard. We had no hesitation in booking with Sarah again this year, and we were not disappointed. We were made so welcome and everything was as lovely as we remembered it. Our rooms... More

Found this as an Alastair Sawday recommended place. We were impressed with our room... simple, comfortable, with clean fresh linen, and a good shower. The room rate is remarkable value, especially so if you take the included breakfast served in the newly refurbished oven house. Sarah was a welcoming host who settled us in with a couple of relaxing cold... More

We were part of a film crew staying and everyone loved it here. It was a peaceful and idyllic sanctuary for us to unwind, drink a little wine and eat some delicious food after a long day filming. Our hostess, Sarah, was amazing - so easy-going and helpful even when we threw last minute requests her way! Some of our... More

Top draw B&B the perfect place to chill out after our long drive back from the Dordogne. Any stress from the journey was eased by the warmth of the welcome and standard of the accommodation. Sarah is the perfect host (she made our kids feel very welcome) and a wonderful cook. One of the best places we've stayed in!

My husband and I stayed at Le Chaton Rouge in June while on a road trip from Paris to the south of France. Sarah made us feel so welcome with complimentary wine in her beautiful backyard. She then recommended a restaurant in a local town and called ahead to make reservations for us. We had a wonderful meal on the... More

We did a bit of a road trip with our 3 month old baby and this was the last place we stayed in before returning home. It was hands down our favourite! Absolutely beautiful place, you can tell the owner used to be an interior designer, it was stylish, original, but cosy and homely all at once. Sarah made us... More

We stayed one night to break the journey to Bordeaux. Excellent stop-over location. The house has been very tastefully restored with an elegant and very comfortable room - a beautiful French bed and sweet-smelling fresh linen. Sarah was the most welcoming and charming hostess and as our visit coincided with family and friends (helping to renovate a garden building into... More

I stayed at Le Chaton Rouge during the race week for the 24 Hours of Le Mans with my Wife and 15 month old baby. The B&B is conveniently located 40 mins from the circuit (handy tip - buy a 'Vert' parking pass as this avoids most of the circuit chaos on race days). The B&B was superb and could... More
