Visited at the end of the season, end of September. Yet I encountered warm days (spent at the inviting pool), nice fellow guests ( who became friends now), and a caring and cute manager, Arpad, who takes care of your every need -well, almost! The rooms are rustic-shic, the location somewhat remote but oh so relaxing, though you'll find there... More

The Lotus Tree was truly idyllic! Stunning views of Montclus, beautiful gardens and rustic French buildings made me fall in love with this place as soon as I arrived! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! I can't wait to I back! I miss Jake the dog!

I met people who are now friends on my first trip. We've reunited each of the following two years. Love the casual breakfasts on the terrace. Beautiful place, idyllic setting, very friendly hosts and dog.

I had at least one conversation with every other guest about how they are planning to come back to the Lotus Tree for another vacation. The place merits this type of conversation because it really possesses everything a place needs to be simply spectacular. For my tastes, the grounds are lovely (managed but not manicured), the location is ideal for... More

We have just returned from 14 days of pure relaxation at the wonderful and highly recommended Lotus Tree. We are not the easiest of travellers to please, so we're surprised by how much we enjoyed our stay. We were in the Garden Studio which is separate from the main buildings. It is quiet, cooler than the other studios/ rooms and... More

We had a wonderfully relaxing week at the Lotus Tree. The situation is lovely, and our room was exactly what we wanted - very comfortable, with the means to make simple dinners, and a terrace to eat them on. Excellent pool too. Best of all, our very congenial hosts Lance and James, and Arpad, who also happens to be a... More

Lovely laid back place perfect for a few days away - set in absolutely beautiful countryside and a great base to explore the amazing nearby towns and villages (everything from incredible Roman remains in Nimes to unspoilt medieval villages to lovely towns like Avignon). Thanks for a great stay. Would say you definitely need to come by - or hire... More

This is a great spot - hidden away amongst the trees - so private and just the place for that naked swim and sunbake - and they all do it there - clothing is optional - an excellent gay resort. A few problems - it is at least 10 kms to the nearest restaurant and only breakfast is served there... More

Stayed here about 2 years ago and forgot to write a review. Such a lovely relaxing and forget-about-it-all place to stay. The staff are lovely too. Lovely to sit by the pool and chat with others, read, sleep, or sunbathe.

My husband Peter and I just returned to Brooklyn, NY from our third stay at The Lotus Tree. Once again, James and Arpad were wonderful hosts and the grounds, pool, and our room (The Garden Suite) were perfect for a relaxing low key vacation. The setting of The Lotus Tree in the Ceze Valley overlooking the town of Montclus (across... More
