We loved our spacious cottage with amazing views and humming birds on the bush by the railing. It is a very special place to stay. Kathleen and Pepe are very gracious hosts and the cottages are decorated and furnished so tastefully with great attention to detail. Breakfasts are delicious - do try the belgian crepes with banana, they are yummy.... More

Staying at Casa Botania was such a treat! The owners' add special touches that make for a truly delightful stay. The cottages are new, spacious and quiet and are set right on the mountainside so you have spectacular views. And they are surrounded by lovely gardens that attract many different species of hummingbirds and other species that you can observe... More

Enjoyed stunning mountain valley viewscapes from our quiet, private cottage patio. Delicious cuisine with lovely hosts Kathleen & Pepe. We got very relaxed hanging out watching the clouds and mist roll by with gorgeous sunsets. Spent 3 days here but could have stayed longer. This place and San Vito are a gem!

What a great find. If you are visiting San Vito, you must make a stop at Casa Botania. The matresses and sheets are very comfortable, and the hosts go out of their way to assist with arranging activities. What blew us away was the restaurant - I didn't expect such fine dining in our Costa Rica travels, but it's exactly... More

Casa Botania was recommended to us as a nice place to stay to see a little bit of Costa Rica while we vacationed in Panama. Pepe at the Casa helped me make arrangements at the border with my vehicle and a taxi driver back and forth from the border. Kathleen was a brilliant help setting up the sleeping arrangements for... We just spent two nights at this lovely place. What an amazing view from your room terrace! The food is outstanding, fresh and almost everything homemade. The best breakfast I had in Costa Rica so far ... and also dinner was delicious. Kathleen , your hospitality is wonderful! You make everyone feel home at once, thank you for welcoming us... More

My husband and I and our little one and my parents spent a couple nights at this B&B - and it got two thumbs up from the whole group! My mom's first reaction when she stepped into her cabin was " How did you find this place?!" We stayed in two separate cabins/bungalows - which was a good idea as... More

We were in San Vito to do some duty free shopping in Panama and stayed two nights here. What a cool place with that rich rustic Tico charm with a touch of Europe as well. Breakfasts were incredible and made of fresh ingredients and very satisfying. The owners were most great and very helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and... More

We ended up at Casa Botania by chance, but it turned out to be the perfect spot for us. We stayed in the Superior Bungalow, which was cozy and the view was amazing. Every morning we woke to a spectacular view of the valley and mountains and every evening we returned to a relaxing bungalow with fresh flowers, that made... More

My wife and I returned from the Panamanian border this time through San Vito Costa Rica. We have lived here in CR for over forty years and this was our first trip to San Vito to visit the botanical gardens and to know the area. It was late afternoon and we pulled into Casa Botania. Beautiful grounds, greeted by wonderful... More
