We got there on Christmas Eve at about 2:30pm. We looked up what hotels were closest to the casinos and stores so that everything was walking distance. We picked Cedar Inn also because they had the best price for the type of room we were looking for.
We stayed in the Mini Suite in room #14. The room came with...

I recently stayed at Cedar Inn and had a great experience. I ended up arriving in Tahoe early and because my room was ready, they let me check in early. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. Comfortable bed and decent size room. I had a fireplace in my room, but because it was August, I didn't...

We got there on July 2, we had reserved a room with 2 double beds for $119/n; when we got there, the rooms avalable for that price were dark and smelly; then she said she had another (supposedly larger) room with 2 queen beds and a bath for $20 extra per night; when my husband suggested that we stay in...

The best of it is it's location. Only 1 min walk to the casinos and main street and 3 min walk to the private access beach and if you like golf, it's right at the corner of the golf course. This is perfect location if you want to have a descent sleep because it's about couple blocks from the main...

The staff here is just amazing. So friendly and fun. The a/c in the room worked really well. The bed was comfortable and clean. I enjoyed the free beach passes, and the close access to the beach and the casinos. I would stay here again. Great value for the price.
We booked this hotel because of cost, location and previous stays (my fiance stayed here a few years ago with friends while skiing). When we got to the room, it was filthy and the toilet didn't work. We got switched to a new room after calling the front desk and we were greeted by an angry man who thought the...

My wife and I drove to S. Lake Tahoe for the day and decided to spend the night. We drove around and choose The Cedar Inn. It is very close to the main casinos, plus it looked nice. We are also members of AAA, which they advertised outside. After waiting in the lobby for 10 minutes an Asian man with...

This motel is OK but it had a few problems and it's likely you could do better for the price. I would rate it at 1.5*. The room had somewhat worn furnishings and is a 1* but the bathroom had been renovated at some point and could be rated a 2*. There were some amenities in the room: microwave, refrigerator,...

My husband and infant son stayed here during thanksgiving weekend 2005. We stayed in room #8 which had one queen bed and a mini-fridge. We'd stay there again. The management were very friendly and patient, both when I called with questions in advance and during our stay. The heaters worked very well. The casinos are very close walking distance, as...
