We spent 3 nights for a family ski vacation. The rooms are clean, the kitchenette was very useful for us and the fire place was fun. They also have a swimming pool for the summer. We took the cottage, which had a bed room and a sofa which open to a queen bed in the living room.

Nothing trendy or slick but this motel was a perfect home base for a weekend of hiking, lounging, and exploring the Emerald Bay side of South Shore. Large pool and grass area with BBQs and Mini kitchen makes it a good choice for families who want to do some cooking. Quaint.

We were so glad to end up at this nice little quiet place instead of one of the big chaotic resorts that are nearby. The manager is quirky, but friendly, the rooms plain but adequate, but the big plus is the green yard with picnic tables and a Ping pong table. We had fun playing (badly) and played cards at... Although we have been coming to the South Lake Tahoe area for 50 years, we only stumbled upon this place 12years ago. We're big campers, so staying in a hotel in the abundant forests of SLT was pretty foreign to us. We gave it a shot and were so happy we keep coming back. We have brought many friends and... More

This was our 1st time, but we have friends who stay every year. The lodge could definitely use an update, but that is part of it's charm and why it's priced so well. Pros; This property was beautiful and the teenagers had a great time swimming. Our room (King w/ kitchenette) worked great for our family and plenty of room... More

We had a last minute change in our weekend plans and wanted to stay another night in Lake Tahoe before heading back home (San Jose). By chance we called and spoke with Kirk. He was great and offered us a cottage or a studio, both at great prices. We chose #104, the cottage. We had a really great stay and... More

When I was growing up we had a family of 7 and stayed there every summer and to this day my siblings along with their kids as well as my own daughter her family and many of my friends because it is still a wonderful place to stay with very reasonable prices.

We've stayed for 3-4 nights at a time on at least a dozen occasions in the past six years. The location is perfect: near various beaches and trail heads, and close enough to the casinos without being in the thick of the South Lake Tahoe/ Stateline area. The studio rooms have a counter with a sink, next to a microwave... More

If ever in the South Lake Tahoe area please make plans to stay at this location! It is a true wonderful place! Very rustic, rooms are very spacious, has everything a family, couple or single person would need. Beautiful pool with tables and bbq pits for grilling! Very close to everything a person would like to do. The surrounding huge... More

Stayed here for 4 nights on cabin 104. Bed was very comfortable. Away from the hustle and bustle of the casino areas. Not fancy but very clean!! Used the BBQ grills at night. Refrigerator and cook top was convenient. Bathroom is very small and the shower head is very low. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The location... More
