Despite being in the shadow of a couple huge casinos on the Nevada side of the state line, Basecamp is a wonderful hotel that treats its guests very well. They carry the basecamp theme through all their graphics, but the place is very comfortable. It has a sense of fun in its decorations, but they are serious about your comfort.... More

Stayed 3 nights in March, '13. Cute place but on balance overhyped. No bathtub, bathroom floor is FREEZING, two pillows only on bed, uneven wireless service, no frig, very small room, ancient and loud wall heater, very marginal "breakfast." I expect a little more for $159 a night.

Basecamp is simply a great little hotel gem in South Lake Tahoe. As everyone else mentioned the renovation is beautiful and I even found myself taking photos of the room and colors to remember for my next home project. Very modern and warm. The staff was great, extremely accommodating, and very welcoming of our pup. We loved our stay!
