A nice little gem off Highway 89. The cabins are rustic on the outside, I hope they never paint them or modernize the exterior look. They are well furnished inside, and actually very comfortable. The kitchens are furnished adequately. No TV, internet, or phone, so once you get over all that, it is very relaxing. The lake is steps away... More

If you want some quiet time. Either the historic hotel, the beachside inn or the cabins, here is all about peace and quiet. Lovely place to spend it quietly on winter in front of the big stone place at the hotel or party and lay in the sun on summer by the beach and some drinks and food at the... More

We stayed in The Studebaker cottage, and it was awesome. This was a great place to stay adjacent to Valhalla the wedding venue. We'd recommend this place to anybody that's wants a stunning location on the Lake!

This camp is nicely nestled in behind the trees on the beach. The beach and water is a tad crowded but there is a ton to do. We opted for the booze cruise which, imo, wasn't even close to worth the money. We paid $49/person and got a 2 hour ride around the lake where we couldn't even stop. We... More

Nice place still want to try it in the summer and do some snow shoeing . I went in the summer and stayed in a summer cabin, if staying in the summer I recommend the Marmon cabin but it is only available in the summer

My husband and I had made reservations to stay at the Beachside Inn at Camp Richardson. However, there has been a recent, large, still largely uncontrolled forest fire that is spreading in the direction of Lake Tahoe. Smoke is filling the air in three counties and it is expected to take weeks to get the fire under control. As a... More

Firstly we have to say a huge thank you to the staff here who were simply amazing - all of them!!! It is exactly as i had dreamed a US campsite would look like - the historic charm is the best anywhere around the lake (and we drove round it (in a car) 3 times!!). The phase 'too cute' is... More

During the summer, until Labor Day, this resort is VERY busy. After the children go back to school it becomes a peaceful escape. Camp Richardson has been in operation for several decades. As you would expect, they REALLY know how to make their guests feel welcome. There are accommodations for all types of travelers. There are small cabins to rent,... More

THIS IS FOR THE RV PARK Imagine the tall aromatic pine trees through which you can pick portions of blue sky and, once you advance towards the beach, the blue waters of the lake and the sandy beach in front of you. Add to this a bar/restaurant right on the beach within the borders of the property. Visualize fresh seafood... More

My family goes to Lake Tahoe every year, and have visited Camp Richardson to go to The Beacon restaurant on the beach, but had never stayed at Camp Richardson. But this year, my family planned a reunion there. It turned out to be an ideal location. Some of us stayed in the hotel, some in cabins, and other camped. It... More
