I stayed at Baia for 6 nights in early Dec and enjoyed the room, management and location. As a general note for people traveling to Tofo, it is still very much a developing country, so expect to have random black outs, not the cleanest water, ants and bugs here and there and lunch from places that have a dirt floor... Thank you very much for your review. It never stops to please us when we read one of our client had such a great stay with us, and it was also good to know your experience about Tofo. You're right Mozambique and Tofo are still developing, but we don't have to forget about the locals and how nice and wonderful... More

I stayed in the hotel for a couple of days in October. Gianluca the manager is very concerned to provide a comfortable place. He even mixes drinks with ingredients you can only get from the capital. Location is also good. I really enjoyed the stay!

Baia Sonambula has great location with amazing views on Tofo beach. Breakfast on the terrace in a delight and the young couple of managers are extremely helpful and will do everything to make your stay perfect. However the rooms (we stayed in a sea view bungalow) are very expensive and offer basic comfort (no air conditioning and no natural ventilation,... More

We are on our honeymoon in Mozambique and this is by far the best accommodation we have found throughout our trip. Gian and Stephanie are wonderful hosts and really are dedicated to making your stay as comfortable as possible and attending to your every needs. Throughout our stay they were taking the opportunity to paint some of the rooms and... More

We came to Mozambique for the humpbacks and the diving. We had been told that the accommodation would be basic, so we were pleasantly surprised by the beach front position, the view and the friendliness of the staff. The rooms are perfectly fineand the location is second to none. Steph and Gian can't do enough to make sure your stay... More

If the spectacular bay of tofo is a delight in itself thre is a special place where you can relax / sleep and takes her breakfasts deal with this enchanting bay ... this place is called Baia Sonambula (set of lodges): it is held in one "master" hand by Gianni a young man, professional, friendly and available. This place is... More

I am an experienced world traveller, Mozambique being the 52nd country I visited. I came to Tofo for the diving, so the hotel was less of a consideration for me, but I must say that I totally fell in love with Baia Sonambula as it is really a perfect place to stay. It is a very short walk (50 meters)... More

From the moment we arrived at Baia Somnambula, Stéphanie and Gianluca made us very welcome. A very friendly and helpful couple, and their dog was lovely too! Our room (a sea view bungalow) overlooking the sea was clean and simple, but had beautiful touches, such as the bed-side lights made with local batik fabrics, and vases of flowers. We spent... More

I'm a single traveller, and I felt entirely at home in this small haven. Like staying in a good friend's beach house. It is essentially on the beach, fantastic views of the whole bay including passing humpbacks. Shared tables at breakfast, an espresso machine, honor system for drinks from the fridge, mojitos between diving and dinner. 5 minute walk along... More
