After quite a long drive we arrived at Pond Cottage to a very warm welcome. We were shown to a twin bedded room...at the back of the house as requested. There was a tray with all we needed to eemake a cup of tea which was just what we wanted that and a chance to relax. There was a lovely... More

After a minor mix up with our booking Sandie was incredibly apologetic and did everything she could to ensure we had the best stay possible. She upgraded our room, it was all incredibly clean and presentable. Best shower and she even threw in a free breakfast! Ideal location with lovely pub next door.

Returned again to this lovely b and b and were not disappointed. It is run by Sandie and Brian who pay attention to every detail to ensure customers enjoy a quality experience which we certainly did. It is a real treat to visit from every aspect. Thanks once again to you both for your great hospitality - hope to see... More

I arrived 8pm on 23rd June. My (heavy) case was carried up the stairs for me into a delightful bedroom with overhead fan. I walked to the village green, had a drink watching women play stoolball in sunshine, then splendid dinner at next door pub. Peaceful bliss. Morning shower, in sparkling bathroom, was powerful, as was hairdryer. Breakfast (bacon, eggs,... More

We spent 2 nights at Old Pond Cottage when we were attending a family wedding a few miles away. The first night, we occupied 2 of the 3 rooms and the second night, all 3 rooms. Sandie and Brian were so welcoming even before we arrived - I got really efficient, helpful emails from Sandie. And when we got there,... More

The spacious room was recently renovated using high quality materials and very good taste. There was a comfortable leather chair in the room, plenty of space on the bath vanity, excellent lighting all around, and a comfortable mattress. Our friendly host offered tea on arrival and cooked a tasty to order breakfast in the morning. She also recommended the pub... More

Perfect place to stay when visiting this part of the countryside, stunning & immaculate house, fantastically friendly people running it, great pub next door again with really friendly landlord, gorgeous country setting, lovely little village & a truly scrumptious breakfast in the morning - what more could you ask for! We will definitely come again!

Wow! What a wonderful place and people. I stayed with my young niece for two nights as we were attending a wedding. The rooms were beautiful and had everything we needed. Beds were sooo comfy. Sandie and Brian were amazing throughout! But it was those extra touches that made our stay so memorable. Homemade shortbreads in our room. Little note... More

We stayed 3 nights at The Old Pond Cottage and were very impressed with the friendly hosts Sandie & Brian. Room was very comfortable and best of all very quiet which led to a good nights sleep. The quality of the furniture & fittings were of a high standard unlike many other B&Bs we have stayed at in the past.... More
