I walked in with my western world stress, a busy mind and knots in my shoulders. Very quickly I realized I was immersed in a little piece of paradise with the resort nestling me in a calming, tranquil energy. And the stresses slipped away as I enjoyed the pool, the gentle ocean and lovely gardens. The staff were always smiling... More

I stayed almost 4 weeks at the beach resort and 2 weeks at the mountain retreat. 5 of these almost 6 weeks were for a yoga education. It was wonderful. So much peace and quiet, the staff very friendly, arranging trips and being very knowledgeable and resourceful. The food and the drinks are awesome. The people you meet here -... More

I stayed at the Mountain Retreat in the third week of July, as accommodation for a Tigress Yoga Retreat. The whole experience was incredible - the food was delicious with a fabulous variety, the spa treatments were of a very high standard and the rooms were spacious, with beautiful attention to detail. Love and care is infused into this beautiful... More

This place was recommended by my friend who did her teacher training here for 3 months. And my mum and i had such a relaxing and beautiful time. All the staff were really helpful. They cooked us special meals of whatever we wanted, because we couldn't eat certain things, so in that regards it was great. The mountain lodge was... More

We did a yoga retreat at this absolutely amazing place. We meditated under the stars and when night turned into day we had the most magnificent view over the valley. The yoga room was absolutely fantastic with another great view over an beautiful water feature. The rooms were spacious with nice outdoor showers. There is a beautiful swimming pool and... More

The Gaia Oasis are a not for profit retreat organisation, one is in the mountain and one on the beach. Tranquility within the northern part of Bali, a good place to be based from with easy access to see the that stretch of the island. We stayed at the end of the month so caught the end of one yoga... If someone was to ask me to paint an idyllic Bali image, one of the images that would come to mind is a beachside bungalow with a thatched roof, surrounded in incredible lushness, palm trees reaching out over the water, the sea gently lapping onto the shore, surrounded by peace and experiencing the gentle touch of the Balinese people. Well,... More

I ran a yoga retreat at the Gaia-Oasis Abasan Mountain Resort for 6 days in Nov/Dec 2013 and I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience. We stayed in the mountain. It's a relaxed place. Great for recovery :) The room is OK, but there is not much point of being them when you can enjoy the amazing pool. The breakfast is great, vegetarian buffet. The service is friendly and professional. We had to an excellent yoga teacher (Alexi) and we did it twice a day.... More
