Getting to Solano from San Fernando, La Union took about 5 hours via the scenic route that passed through Ambuklao river and dam. It would have taken 7 to 8 hours otherwise. Upon entering the lobby of the hotel we all had to laugh at its grandiose two storey foyer, painted in yellow and baby blue stripes with about 30 large oil on canvas paintings on the walls from floor to ceiling. we have been staying at this hotel now for 4 consecutive years and I never ever have any drama...my hubby is a foriegner and he was surprised with the service....definitely stay here again when we go back there next year..great service and good food...very reasonable rate in rooms...

Travellers - beware! The hotel gives the "master key" to all the rooms just about to anyone of their trainees.Last year, while my daughter and I were having a late breakfast inside the room, three of their trainees opened our room door.(they thought we had stepped out earlier).What was that all about?
