We stayed at Mallard Grange for two nights in March 2013. When Maggie said I have put you in the shed I was worried. There was absolutely no need to be, it is one of the nicest B&B's we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The room was large, well found and spotlessly clean, the best part was... More

One of the best B&Bs we have ever experienced. A quiet and tranquil location with superb views but equally handy for any of the main tourist towns and attractions in North Yorkshire. A warm and friendly welcome, large well furnished and decorated room, spotless and modern bathroom, comfortable big bed, super breakfast and extremely helpful owner who goes out of... More

We stayed at Mallard Grange for four nights at the beginning of December when the weather outside was very cold. However, our well furnished spacious room was lovely and warm with very comfortable beds and pillows. We were so well provided for and could ask for nothing more. Maggie likes a challenge at breakfast and will offer her guests a... More

My husband and I stayed at Mallard Grange for three nights recently. Tasteful, restful accomodations, excellent breakfast, and a warm and welcoming hostess in Maggie Johnson. We could not have been happier or more comfortable. Fountains Abbey, a National Trust property and once the largest abbey in Europe, is barely a stone's throw away. Don't miss it, or the free... Well, what can I say that all the other "5 star" reviewers haven't? Only that I can only agree with them wholeheartedly! This was my second two night stay and once again found everything exemplary. Maggie is a superb host whilst Charles has time to chat to you, even though he's running a very busy farm. The breakfast is excellent... More

We took 3 rooms for a couple of nights so the family could congregate from different corners of the UK to celebrate a special birthday. Rooms are gorgeous - well appointed, comfortable, warm, cosy. Working farm location is totally charming. Breakfast was cracking - really tasty and loads of choice. Maggie the landlady-come-hostess really is stellar. Couldn't do enough for... More

What makes this B&B outshine most of the rest? Maggie. The warmth of her personal welcome to her home, her jolly and chatty personality, her enthusiasm for making her business a success whilst appearing to be doing it all for love. And also ..... Very comfortable room with all the resources one would hope for - a choice of teas... More

As we arrived Maggie came out of the farm house to welcome us warmly by name. She took us straight to our room in the converted barn. We had a lovely room with a fantastic shower in the ensuite, tea and coffee making facilities and shared a fridge with the room next door. Maggie invited us to go over to... More
