I organised a relaxed hen-do for about 15 girls at Swallowtail Hill Farm last weekend and it was a great success. We were able to book out the whole site and everyone absolutely loved the cosy, comfortable cabins, the beautiful countryside location, and feeding the farm animals on the Saturday morning! Sarah and Christopher and incredibly kind and welcoming, and... More

We chose the Woodcutter's Cottage for a short break with our grandson - and we didn't regret a second of it despite a little rain during the second evening. It was a real pleasure to escape the fashion/celebrity/football obsessed world and media - its suspect political leaders car and aircraft noise and fumes. We all loved the experience, especially our... More

We have a five year old who was very keen on camping (and I'm not so keen), so we compromised and went Glamping. We stayed at the Meadow Keeper's cottage at Swallowtail Hill farm. The cottage is very cosy and well equipped. A lovely outside eating area, overlooking a beautiful pond with lots of birds and a small rowing boat... More

My wife and I had such an incredible time at the Meadow Keepers Cottage. It allowed us to take a break from our jobs, unwind, switch off and enjoy everything that's natural. The atmosphere and environment was beautiful and quiet. You realise you can live comfortably on the pure basics, and I can only wish to adopt some of these... More

We love Swallowtail Hill so returned again, this time with a large group of friends. The improvements over the last year are really impressive and the new cabins are fantastic and a real step up from the bell tents. The cooking facilities are great and there's everything you need to cater easily for friends and family. Despite my usual trepidation,... More

We came for the first time a year ago and spent the whole weekend on the farm, so we really wanted to return to not only enjoy the farm again but also do a bit of exploring . We brought friends with us too so we had both the new cabins. We had a wonderful time again, cooking over the... More

Had an amazing stay here. We loved the peace and quiet, cooking on open fire, the outdoor shower etc. just so unusual. It is a beautiful areA. We had super weather too which obviously helps! Stayed in meadow keepers cottage which is just gorgeous. Everything is thought of and we wouldn't have changed a thing

For someone, who spent most of his business life in 5 star hotels, to be told by his wife and eldest daughter that they had booked a long weekend camping for all the family, was rather thought provoking. The thoughts were mainly "I wonder if I can get out of this !". Once on the site my views changed and... More
