We stayed in the magnolia room which was full of lovely extras, from the chocolates, sweets and drinks to the huge en-suite. We had a warm reception and a tray of much needed coffee after a very wet journey. Thanks to John and Shelagh for a very welcome break. It's a lovely place to stay if you're in the area.

This was our fourth stay in as many years - Seven nights from March 24th to March 30th. As always, the experience was everything we could ever ask for. The attention to detail to make our stay enjoyable is unmatched and we have stayed at some very renowned hotels and we know what constitutes 5 star service and accommodation. Our... More

Booked for three nights, we added a fourth because we enjoyed our stay so much in this really lovely B&B. Our hosts, Shelagh and John were so friendly and attentive to all our needs. We were so comfortable in the Magnolia room and enjoyed our hearty and healthy breakfasts. Our large living and dining rooms were available all day with... More

Wow. My wife and I had the most incredible stay at Fairacres. The house is gorgeous, our room (Magnolia) was very comfortable, tastefully furnished, and with an excellent ensuite bathroom. The only thing better than the excellent breakfast was the kindness and availability of our hosts Shelagh and John, whose kindness really made us feel at home away from home.... More

I couldn't review this place highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble for John and Shelagh who provided endless personal touches to this already welcoming and comfortable B&B. I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

This is a small very well run bed and breakfast by a couple who actually care what service they give. The breakfast is excellent with a number of home made local products available. Our whole stay (only 2 nights) was a very enjoyable "English countryside experience". We will be back.

What a pleasure to be met by Shelagh's smiling face and a freshly brewed pot of tea served in the garden! John and Shelagh made our 4-day stay one to be treasured. They served the best breakfasts, which were catered to our dietary requirements, and each day they set us off with great advice and directions to ensure we made... More

There isn't a better bed and breakfast in all of England. John and Shelagh are the best hosts possible and the breakfast (all fresh ingredients and homemade breads) is enough to tide you over until supper. The porridge is served with a bit of Drambuie that is delightful. Each bedroom is superbly decorated and John and Shelagh are extremely knowledge... More

Simply the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Very many thanks to John and Shelagh for being the perfect hosts. They could not do enough for us and thought of everything even down to sherry, port and chocolates in our room! The breakfast was excellent and the accommodation surpassed all of our expectations. The only disappointment we had was... More
