After a lovely ramble round Rye & then the harbour, we ended the evening with a lovely meal at the Bell. Lovely menu, nicely served, tasty without being fussy. Quite busy for a Friday in Feb, & congenial atmosphere. Attentive, but not intrusive service

This is an excellent place to stay. We had a very large room in an annex just a few steps from the main building. The bed was a bit creaky but surprisingly comfortable, and the room was well furnished in an old fashioned style, in keeping with the building as a whole. The restaurant in the pub was outstanding, with... More

Stayed for four nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The staff and customers were very friendly and the inn itself was very warm, welcoming and cozy. The room was spacious with a large, comfortable bed. The en-suite had everything you required with large, thick and warm bath towels, a touch of luxury compared to other places we have... More

Two gays and a dog, stayed and ate at the bell last week as a start to our few days away. Very good Sunday Lunch Very good service, no ordering at the bar we took a seat and were well looked after, little touches like waitress service, and linen napkins do count, it was so nice to have a seat... Excellent little hotel. Rooms are large and well equipped. Everything you need is to hand including a well stocked (and reasonable priced) Minibar. The rooms are detached from the pub (the Bell) by about 10 meters. It serves excellent food, beakfast is also served in the pub and is cooked to order and again excellent. Cant give this place a... We didn't stay here but just visited for a Sunday lunch. Although there wasn't anyone else eating, our roast beef and lamb dinners could have been cooked fresh, they were beautiful. The potatoes were crisp and fluffy, the meat was excellent and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The service was very good, very friendly and we will definitely be... More

We stayed here for one night on 28th October in a very comfortable, warm and inviting room, with an ample supply of tea and coffee. The comfortable king sized bed had crisp, spotlessly clean bed linen and there was a good supply of fresh towels. We and had a superb dinner in the evening which was absolutely beautiful and there... We wanted to get away for a couple of days, and as my birthday was coming up my wife booked for us to stay overnight yesterday. We were impressed that, along with the confirmation response, we had an e-mail pointing out that as it was a Sunday the pub finished serving food at 5:00pm, and offering to give us details... More

Whilst visiting camber we wanted somewhere that would cater for all of our group together and served a Sunday roast, 15 adults and 3 children. We called late Sunday morning to book a table and the staff were very accommodating with our booking they managed to fit us in for midday. We were approached with friendly staff and was pleased...
