We stayed at the Peninsula Resort for one night on a mini holiday. We shall definitely go back! Our first impression was that it was ideally situated right on the south shore of Lake Simcoe - all the rooms back onto the beach and have a great view of the lake. The rooms are spacious with 2 comfortable double beds... More

Spent just 2 nights here and wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms are excellent and the staff very friendly. The sitting area outside is very pleasant and the tapas is excellent the wait staff and chef went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Looking forward to returning here.

We did not stay at the resort as we were just passing by, however we did stop in for dinner and we were extremely pleased with our decision. The 3 entrees we chose were fish and chips, chicken stir fry and the liver. All three were most enjoyable. Our service was very good and it was nice to see the... More

We went ice fishing in January, which was an unforgettable experience. We booked Peninsula Resort for a one night stay. The receptionist was not welcoming at all upon our arrival; she first looked at me sarcastically and, by turning over, started talking to her dog!!! We paid $140 for a one room with two double beds - an outdated, cold,... More

The proximity to the lake is excellent, with great access to the ice at multiple locations. There is plenty of room for trucks and trailers to park. Facilities are very "dated" and not well maintained, but tolerable. A little work to update the bathroom would make a big difference. If you need a place to sleep after all day fishing,... More

This mom and pop team are making an effort but the tourism bucks available in this out of the way area don't seem to be enough to bring it up to standard. I feel bad because they appear to have just redone the unit we were in but it was still kind of a dump. We had reserved 2 houses... More

We recently stayed at Peninsula Resort because the sports team we were with wanted to stay together. At Lake Simcoe motels are the only thing you can get for a whole team. The rooms were dirty - cob webs all over the windows with dead bugs, flies etc., smelled moldy (like an old motel style room). We were lucky bec.... More

We traveled to Lake Simcoe in May for some family business. We decided to stay at the Peninsula Resort and were pleased that we did. We had previously been in the area and had come across the resort while exploring down the roads surrounding the lake. The room was a bit dated but windows to the lake were wonderful and... More
