Recently stayed for two nights and enjoyed accommodation and food. Excellent service, all staff very friendly taking the time to talk to you even when they were busy. The food was lovely and even when I could not eat the pre-desert (as chocolate disagrees with me) the waitress brought out something else for me. Very comfortable nights sleep. This is... More

Following a wonderful day's fly fishing on Rutland Water my wife and I enjoyed a lovely evening and overnight at what is one of the UK's very best Country House Hotels. Having arrived rather wet and with 2 freshly caught trout, we were shown to our delightful room with its magnificent view over Rutland Water. (Accommodation for the trout was... More

My husband and I recently stayed for the weekend at Hambleton Hall ; a surprise birthday treat for me! We stayed in the Pavillion, which is a seperate personal residence near the croquet lawn next to the main hall. It was stunning, with a separate kitchen and lounge on the upper floor, the stairs took you downstairs to two double... More

Not only is this Hotel in a beautiful location, it has some of the most professional and friendly staff that you will find anywhere. special thanks to Graham for the time he finds to welcome guests in the restaurant and to Dom who is the most amazing and knowledgeable sommelier outside of Paris. If you are looking for piece and quiet, Hambleton is a very small sleepy little town and the Hotel is located in a beautiful old manor house surrounded by beautiful gardens and pastoral land with a sizeable lake about 500 metres away. It is a great area to just relax or go for a walk along the pathway along the... More

Living nearby, I have been going to Hambleton for many years, both to dine and stay.It never fails to be a fantastic experience.Last night's dinner was one of the best- imaginative, creative and, in my view, on a par with ANY top restaurant.Staff are friendly, knowledgeable (great wine suggestions!) and professional. Sitting on the terrace, surrounded by the lovely gardens and... More

We were married at Hambleton Hall ten years ago and today celebrated our anniversary there (with some children we produced in the interim), I am pleased to say that they took care of us as well today as they did ten years ago. The food and wine were superb and the environment relaxed despite the underlying formal tone. I cannot... More

I can honestly say that this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The atmosphere is dignified without being stuffy, the rooms have every possible touch of luxury, the grounds which overlook Rutland Water are stunning and the food superb. The staff are charming and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Do go for a special treat... More

What a fantastic stay. We went here for my husbands weekend and bought a celebration package. The location of the hotel is fantastic, with great walks around Rutland Water. When we arrived, the hotel fires were blazing and continued to do so for the entirety of our visit. We had the 3 course dinner with a great table overlooking the... More

So pleased to hear you had a fantastic stay at Hambleton in February, the walks around Rutland Water are wonderful. We have been enjoying lovely warm weather over the past fortnight, no need for the log fires for now. Thank you. Carolyn Turner, Marketing Manager More
