Olga (from Sorata) and her team is running Las Piedras since 3 months and she is doing a very good job! While keeping the hostel clean, she makes very tasteful breakfasts and dinner! She really understands how to give customers a warm welcome and a pleasant stay. Keep up the good work!

Arrived in Sorata after pretty awful journey from Copacabana. Lonely Planet led us to expect some sort of lovely oasis, but we found the town very dirty and options for eating very limited. This hostel was the cleanest of the three we looked at, but the owner was very grumpy as we checked in, though she thawed a bit with... More

We've stayed here at least a half a dozen times now. Very clean, good beds(love the down comforters), bright cheery rooms with good views. The proprieter, Petra, is a wonderful host and makes a great cappucino. All the food is good. Try the home made chocolate sauce with the pancakes. We'll definately stay there again.

When we arrived the girl at the counter told us the double room with a private bathroom was 100 bolivianos and the one without was 80. We chose the one for 100 and stayed for three nights. But when we checked out the owner Petra said the room was 140 per night and that if her staff had given us... More

We arrived quite late and tired at this place and our first impression was pretty bad, the owner (a german lady) was very unfriendly, she told us that it was not the good season to come in sorata ( in fact we had only sunshine), and because of a farmer strike the road will be blocked in two days. The... More

Really nice double rooms with a little balcony over looking the valley. The breakfast is not included but is not expensive and the best we have had in South America. Warm home made bread and granola and or eggs and great hot chocolate and coffee. Petra was very friendly and welcoming and can help you with anything you want to... More

We stayed 2 nights in Dec in a double room which was lovely and clean. Petra was really helpful and suggested walking routes from the hostal that we could access in rainy season. The breakfast was delicious!

Although we'd been thinking of visiting Sorata over New Year for a little while, we didn't finally decide to go until the last moment - and as a result, our first choice [based on reading the guidebooks] was fully booked when we called the day before travelling. Lucky us! Las Piedras did have a room free, and it was perfect.... More

If you come to Sorata and you like a clean, friendly and cozy place - go and visit Petra and her staff from "Las Piedras". We stayed there 5 nights, enjoyed the Hostal as much as we enjoyed the breathtaking surrounding nature. We loved the simple but very tasteful and healthy food and got a lot of support being ill...
