I went to Torre del Tartufo this summer by my self. I would highly recommend this cooking experience to everyone; even if you are a novice. Franco is not only an expert chef but a first rate educator. Being an elementary music teacher, I know what it takes to break the experience down so that everyone understands what is expected... It was a long time in the planning but well worth the wait. What afabulous 7 days of cooking, eating, drinking and socializing with a very diverse small group. From the moment we arrived (late due to Rosie our GPS) We were welcomed by Lena and Alex and knew at that moment we had a very special week ahead of... More

After nearly a year of planning this vacation adventure, we were beyond thrilled with the week that we spent at this facility. Gorgeous surroundings, beautiful and comfortable accommodations and the entire staff (Lena and Alex, Chef Franco and Paola, plus the darling cleaning staff and kitchen helpers whose names elude me....I'm sorry ladies) made us feel welcome from the moment... I have never actually written a review before but feel I must share my wonderful experience. My sister and I booked a one week cooking vacation at Torre del Tarufo and we enjoyed every minute! As soon as we drove up the steep, gravel path and saw the villa, we knew we had made the BEST choice. The villa and... More

My sister and I spent many hours researching our Tuscan cooking vacation options (there are plenty of cooking schools in Italy!). After all, if we were going to travel half way across the world spending our hard earned money on a cool vacation idea, we wanted to be sure that we were picking the right spot. We did! From the... I can only echo the sentiments of previous reviewers--from first day to last the experience at Torre del Tartufo was splendid. The gorgeous early September weather was a perfect backdrop to showcase all of the sights and activities we enjoyed, and the staff made sure that everything ran smoothly while maintaining a relaxed, fun atmosphere. My husband and I learned... More

From the moment we arrived at Torre del Tartufo we were made to feel welcome, appreciated and at home. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The accommodations were great (the beds were so comfy we almost missed breakfast the first day!), the scenery more beautiful than I can put in words, and the cooking experience far exceeded our expectations.... I can honestly say this cooking school experience exceeded every expectation.... from view upon arrival, to my beautiful princess room, the stunning grounds, to the fun and congenial guests (cooking partners) it was a bundle of fun. The chief's ability to keep each cooking team on track and appearing competent in the kitchen was remarkable and always always in good... More
