Really nice B&B, very clean, comfy bed, good shower - what more could you ask for? Warm welcome from Alan and Molly and a great breakfast. We stayed in the village for a friends party and this was the perfect stopover

I stayed here with my 18 month old daughter and mother when whilst visiting my terminally ill grandmother. I have stayed in quite a few hotels with my daughter and this was (and still is) the first time I've been charged for a cot!!! Outrageous! This bed and breakfast is not prepared for babies or toddlers at all! No highchair... More

Nothing was too much trouble for the great owners of this b&b, lovely place, very clean, really friendly, comfy rooms, free wifi and a great breakfast. Spot on. I even amended the booking to add a friend and this was no problem either.

A last minute decision to stay in the area after attending a nearby concert. Very pleased to discover Hillfield House. Warm welcome from Molly's daughter. Rooms spotless. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. We shall be happy to return if staying again in this area

Stayed here last year and had excellent stay, returned and once again found Molly and her husband welcoming, friendly and nothing too much trouble. Decor and cleanliness is excellent, breakfast is also excellent. Highly recommended and certainly return to Molly's again when visiting family again.

We stayed here for 2 nights and did not feel welcome at all. Molly could not be bothered we asked for breakfast at 7 one morning and she did nothing but moan that it was very early. The tv is very small and you have to be under 5 feet tall to fit in the shower. We are going back... More

We stayed at this b&b in 2008 as we were visiting our sons wedding. The room was freezing cold and the bed was far too soft and lumpy. The owner chap was very abrupt and had a lot to say when my daughter left her bacon at breakfast. We'd ordered a full english and there he was lecturing us on the... More

The rooms and batroom were clean. The breakfast was alright. The TV was really small. However, we didn't feel welcome. Molly is unpleasant, really brusque. Her husband was welcoming but unfortunately we didn't feel confortable and we do not wish to come back.

We had a lovely twin room with a lovely view over the gardens. Both Molly and her husband were very friendly and helpful. Everything about Hillfield House is way above its price range. Couldn't fault it in any way.
