A great week spent at El Navio, a small (12 rooms) and very quiet hotel ideally situated between see and mountain. Rooms are confortable enough, each of them benefiting from a big terrace with a splendid view on the banana plantation, the see and the opposite La Gomera island. A various and delicious breakfast is served at 8 pm and... More

I was interested to find quiet nice place for one-week break alone to restart my brain. I planned to walk a lot. I do not drive, so it was very important to find the place close to bus connection. Hotel Rural El Navio was close to perfection. Clean, quiet, beautiful view. Very good breakfast; different choices every morning. My favourite... More

I can't really disagree with most of the positive comments about El Navio. The rooms are fine if somewhat basic - the large terrace would be a joy to sit on and watch a sunset - unfortunately during our 5 days there we never saw the sun rise, let alone set and that affects ones view of the place. The... More

This is a small family run hotel on a banana plantation. The hotel rooms are in a terrace near the main building and all face towards the coast, with beautiful views across the banana farm to the sea and towards La Gomera. There is a terrace and small swimming pool for guests and a lounge/reception/bar indoors. The room was an... More

A small hotel, away from the high rise hotels and apartments on the coast. Our room was clean and comfortable with a private terrace and views over the banana plantation and on to the sea. Breakfast was either cooked or continental, you can also order dinner in the evening although we preferred to eat out. The small town of Alcala... More

Idyllic spot with an unbroken beautiful view of the sea across the banana plantation from every room. Spotlessly clean and peaceful. Breakfast was sumptuous and at 8 - 10am it was leisurely. Short walk to the seafront.

It's all been said before...Beautiful accommodation in the middle of a banana plantation. Incredibly friendly and welcoming. Many thanks to all the family ...Alberto and Gustavo for their assistance and to Mum (who talked us through the history of the Finca and the family) and Dad who we were lucky to meet. We stayed for 4 nights (thereby 'earning' our... More

As I fully endorse all the positive comments from previous guests I will only add a few thoughts that might help future visitors. The rooms are well-furnished, the lighting rather subdued however for older eyes, with a spacious bathroom and a huge shower. When encountering a problem with the wash basin two workmen with serious tools arrived within five minutes... More

Just back from 9 nights at El Navio and could not fault a thing. We eat most nights, food cooked by Beatrice both local and excellent.Hotel made us a picnic lunch every day at very reasonable cost. A car is advisable as you are a bit remote. Staff could not be more helpful

The place is a corner of paradise on the sunny, but touristic, south-east of the island. Owners and staff are very friendly and efficient. Each room has a beautiful private terrace overlooking the plantation and the sea. Breakfast is very good and varied. The place is quiet and very well thought, one of the owners is an architect and designed... More
