Gill is a really lovely hostess with a fabulous house . The rooms have everything including space.Gill cooks a wonderful breakfast and is a fount of local knowledge including where one can buy Fish & Chips and eat them on the terrace of the Pub 30 yards away ! I can`t imagine anybody not being happy here. Doug Walker More

The accomodation here was just beautiful. Gill offers a very personalised service as well as still giving you your own space during your stay. The accomodation was furnished beautifully and exceptionally clean. And Breakfast was just amazing. At no time did we feel crowded in with other guests as most of the rooms are well apart and the property was... More

Cannot praise Kimeret Place highly enough... breathtaking location, fantastic accommodation, and the very best of hosts - Gill and Ian (and the dog... Emma!) - whose kind and thoughtful hospitality made for a perfect Christmas celebration. Most highly recommended... if we are lucky enough to have the opportunity, we will be back! Kimeret Place is highly recommended. We were a group of 2 couples, New Zealanders from Auckland and Dutch cousins from Amsterdam. The two adjoining studio rooms were a perfect set up for us. Beautifully presented, clean and with those extra special touches such as home baking and fresh tomatoes out of the garden delivered along with the pepper grinder and... More

What a wonderful time we had at Kimeret Place in October. We chose to stay at Kimeret because of its proximity to Nelson for the RWC, but in fact it had so much more to offer. Our room was palatial, the views stunning and the host Gill (and dogs Alice & Emma) charming. Having spent some time touring the South... More

Having spent 5 weeks tearing around the North Island following the Welsh rugby team we had a few days of r and r on the South Island. We couldn't have chosen a better place to unwind and recover! Our only regret was that we didn't have more time here. Gill's attention to detail and her exquisite taste make it a... More

It is rare to find a place that goes beyond your expectations... and Gill has certainly achieved this. A warm welcome, luxury rooms and amazing surroundings makes a stay here the memorable part of anyones trip to New Zealand. Keep up the good work and I look forward to being able to return. More

Perfect location close to Nelson and also on route to spectacular coastline with all the arts and sculpture along the way. The service was professional but warm and friendly, making us feel we could sink into the relaxing environment. Our room (The Alexander ) was pure luxury with water views ! Loved the warm bathroom floors ,the sumptuous thick towels... More
