Our only regret with this property was that we had too little time to enjoy it properly. We arrived quite late and found that we had been booked into a local restaurant for dinner so had to quickly change and get there. Back at the hotel we had a very private room in what is a small property. The room... More

We stayed at Bronte on our first night on the South Island, and also again for our last night in New Zealand, it being convenient for Nelson Airport (a drive of about 25 minutes). My first impression on arrival was that I wished I had organised our itinerary better to have enabled us to have stayed for longer - and... More

We stayed only 1 night at the Bronte House. The rooms are decorated beautifully and the main house where breakfast is served on the porch is lovely. It is very pricey. Our rooms looked out over the bay, which would have been nice, except the tide was out. Our view was simply gray colored tidal flat. Breakfast was cooked to... More

We recently stayed here for a few nights on our tour of New Zealand, grounds and homestead are lovely and the view from our lodge beautiful, they also booked a restaurant for our first night in Mupua ,which I s only 7 minutes away, we timed it as one night we decided to have takeaway fish and chips. Abel Tasman... More

We could not have enjoyed our stay more. The hotel is in an amazing situation. It is extremely comfortable, the owners and staff, kind, helpful and friendly. There is so much to do in the surrounding area . We are arrived to a fridge stocked with free food and drink and a clothes washing machine with powder if we wanted... More

Bruce and Margaret have a fabulous property with gardens and a setting that are not to be believed. They together with Jordan and the ladies provide the finest service. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were so good! The property is in a quiet setting and close to Abel Tasman National Park, Nelson Wine Country, art studios and... More

Thank you for writing a lovely review, It was a shame you couldn't have stayed longer! We are at a good location for the Abel Tasman nation park, About a 25 minute drive. A good half way point between Nelson and the park. Thanks again for your kind words, Kind regards, Jordynne More

Absolutely peaceful & relaxing, the birds made the most noise! Michelle, Jordan & Brittany made you feel most welcome, thank you ladies. Breakfast on the verandah in the early morning sunshine was delightful. Fresh, home produced and locally sourced food. Would definitely recommend if you want to stay in a quiet location. Hopkirk suite was great but the villas looked... More

Thank you very much for your lovely response. It's beautiful and sunny in Nelson's summer months so we make great use of our veranda in the mornings for serving breakfast. It's also a great way for guests to see the gardens and the chirpy birds. It was lovely to met you both and thank you again for your response. Kind... More

We - myself, wife and two teenage sons - landed in Nelson two evenings ago after a (very) long haul from Glasgow, via Dubai, Melbourne and Auckland - so I do mean long-haul - and Bronte is our first stop off on a full trip around the South Island. What an excellent choice. It is a small estate on an... More

Thank you so much for your excellent review. I'm glad you and your family had a lovely first stop in new Zealand at Bronte, even though it was raining the whole time! Which is rather unusual here in Nelson as it is suppose to have the highest sunshine hours in New Zealand. However coming into April is when it starts... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the Bronte estate as part of our 2 week NZ honeymoon. The location is great for anyone wishing to venture into Abel Tasman NP / Golden Bay and/or Nelson region. We preferred this location to Motueka, which, although closer to ATNP, is less scenic. The estate is absolutely beautiful and well-maintained with outstanding views... More

Thank you for your response. I'm glad you liked our location and the views from your room. I apologize that we didn't help you out with recommendations during breakfast, the first 2 months of the year are exceptionally busy for us and some guests take up more of our time than others. Overall I hope you enjoyed your stay. Kind... More
