Everything about this inn was amazing! We stayed in Evans room, a lovely suite on the second floor of the main building. It has a balcony overlooking a pond and a gazebo, a wood burning fireplace, a large jacuzzi tub, and skylights above the sleigh bed. Cosy furniture, oil lamps... we almost wished for bad weather, because we did not... More

The Notchland Inn first caught my eye from my vantage point aboard the dome car of the Conway Scenic Railroad back in 2012. I always wanted to stay there and finally was able to do so at the end of April this year. Notchland is full of treasures and it is obvious that Ed and Les have put their hearts... More

My husband and I just stayed for our fifth time at The Notchland. We were there for four days and absolutely loved it. It is peaceful and relaxing. Our room was beautiful, with a jacuzzi tub, large bathroom, exceptionally comfortable bed, and lovely decor. Breakfast was great--a good choice of options and wonderful service. We hiked all around the area... More

Our stay was only for one night this past April. On arrival the Innkeepers assistant quickly checked us in, explained our room in detail along with all the other common rooms at the Inn. As we settled in and headed downstairs to the living room, this wonderful gentleman was already stoking and lighting the fireplace for us. He was available... More

I could go on and on about the pristine and well appointed guest quarters, sitting areas, game and music room, dining room, sun room, the view, the hospitality, and the dogs...but I will just rate this place a perfect "10" and begin planning our return trip! I am so lucky to have found The Notchland Inn and it's lovely staff.

My husband and I went to the Notchland on a cold cold January weekend. We couldn't have had a better time - cozy, wonderful food, friendly and fun staff, super comfortable room, loved the music. We found cross-country skiing nearby that was pleasant and peaceful.

Four of us (two couples) visited The Notchland Inn for three days in the early fall and enjoyed every minute of it. Ed and Les are delightful hosts and their Berners Crawford and Abby friendly greaters. We stayed in the Sandwich Cottage and would happily stay there again: quiet, well appointed, warm, comfortable, quiet, etc., etc. We stay in B&Bs... More

My boyfriend and I took a midweek getaway to celebrate his birthday and were very impressed with our choice! The staff at The Notchland Inn were friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious (we had dinner there one evening which was outstanding and the breakfasts were great) and the room was spacious and cozy with a seating area by the... Overall there isn't anything really wrong with Notchland. The other reviews sometimes mention that the rooms are dated and could use an upgrade so you know what to expect. I found also that the bathroom tub wasn't inviting. We also had a throw pillow on the bed with a stain so with that it never felt pristinely clean. On the... More
