My boyfriend and I decided we would go away for Christmas 2014. Living social was sure a huge help in narrowing down choices. I came across the Notchland Inn and immediately knew this would be the place. Located in the White Mountain National Forest, The Notchland Inn, in Harts Location, NH was the perfect place for relaxation, enjoyment, and adventure.... More

This was our 15th year returning to Notchland to celebrate my wife's birthday (1/15). We now stay for four nights over Martin Luther King weekend (Thurs-Mon) and love every minute of it. The rooms are each a little different but all have a wood burning fireplace that the guests actually load and light and enjoy. There are also fireplaces in... More

We just returned from our third stay at the Notchland. We spent our first two nights in Sandwich cottage- separate from the inn (no wifi or cell reception, so completely off the grid), this cottage was gorgeous and comfortable. The kitchen was complete with everything you could need, as was the rest of the cottage. One room was clearly the... More

My wife and I stayed at the Notchland Inn in the dead of winter last March. We both have jobs that claim our time 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so we were looking for a place that would make working impossible—disconnected from the Internet and unreachable by cell phone. When I found out that there was no... More

The Notchland Inn is the definition of a classic New Hampshire Inn. This is my second visit in the past 7 years. The large idyllic victorian building is in a beautiful section of the White Mountains, where you can explore both nature and village. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed and all have real wood burning fireplaces (an incredibly rare... More

Notch land is a great place to R & R. Get the Jacuzzi Suite and they all have fireplace AND wood. The food and atmosphere is unbeatable with impeccable attention to details to ensure your experience is incredible.

We had stayed at the inn during our first trip together as a couple in 1998. So when we decided to get married in New Hampshire, there was no question where we would stay. This is such a homey, cozy getaway! Our room (Pinkham) was very convenient to everything -- especially the jigsaw puzzle we relished working every night. Great... More

Stayed for 2 nights in early September. Just a quick getaway as my husband and I did a short New England tour through Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine after visiting our college kids in Boston. Beautiful scenic mountain location. Inn has a gorgeous setting, reminiscent of an old Victorian inn with an English garden setting. Room was very comfortable with... More

My husband and I stayed here for my birthday as a weekend get-away. We are "foodies" but both enjoy an active lifestyle so we wanted to do local hiking in a romantic setting with good food. The Notchland Inn fit the bill. We pampered ourselves in this cozy old home while enjoying superlative service from the staff. We hiked up... More

I tend to have a hard time giving any place more than 4 for a rating- however This was one of our most favorite weekend getaways ever and the Notchland Inn & the owners stand out in their hospitality. There were welcoming, humorous, helpful, & very knowledgable about the area all while being completely respectful of our privacy during our... More
