We love treating ourselves a couple of times a year and we had never heard of Gravetye manor but found it on a google search saying 5 star experience in west sussex and it popped up. Once we had mastered the mid sussex roads we came across the hotel sign on a little lane and followed the directions. Came across... More

We had exclusive use of Gravetye Manor for our wedding on 30th August and could not have asked for anything more perfect. I grew up in the area and so know Gravetye well, but it has seen lots of changes (for the better) over the last few years. It was always my dream to get married at Gravetye, and it... More

We did an epic adventure trip where we biked 200 miles across England than did a 100 mile hike through the Two Moors and rewarded ourselves with a 2 night stay at Gravetye Manor. The service was spotless and every server that we came in contact with were interesting and spot on. We had the Bay room which was a... More

You'd have to be a poet to come up with words that would truly do Gravetye justice. My husband and I stayed the night about a week ago, and everything was a dream come true. Immediately upon entering there was such a feeling of beauty, exquisite taste and tranquility. We were shown to our room (given an upgrade without asking)... More

I booked afternoon tea for myself, my disabled mother and our friend celebrating her 80th birthday. I advised them that Mum is in a wheelchair and discussed access to the lounge for her. They assured me that everything would be in place for her. We arrived early as it was a lovely afternoon and wanted to walk around the garden... More

My Dearest and I fell head over heels in love with this exquisite English country house. It exudes history. The gardens are gorgeous. The food is world-class. Gravetye gave me a life-threatening case of garden envy. Everywhere I looked there were beautiful plantings. Formal gardens. Meadows of wild flowers and grasses. English gardens cunningly designed to look like they just... More

Set in beautiful grounds with exceptional gardens, still in full bloom at end of September, this hotel is a real treat. This former manor house adapts perfectly to a medium sized hotel. The food is really 5* and the level of service helpful and friendly. It is everything one would hope for in a country house hotel: No buffet style... More

This is a truly lovely hotel. The grounds and gardens are beautiful, the service very professional and the food is excellent. Four course set menu £40 was very good value while a la carte runs to about £60 excluding wine. Didn't try the taster menu which looked very good. No spa! No pool! Just wonderful Sussex countryside, Elizabethan architecture, antique... More

Stayed here last night for My husbands 50th birthday. What a lovely place. Got a room upgrade and the room was huge and just so lovely. Very attentive staff but not in your face. Wonderful dinner and they didn't batter an eye when i informed them i have celiac disease. Even found me some peroni lager and put a load... More

So pleased you had a lovely stay for your husband's big birthday. I always say you don't need to travel hours away from home to get away, many of our local guests stay over minimising the time the spend in their car and more time at the hotel! Kind regards Andrew Thomason Managing Director More
