If you dream about a big slice of England, Gravetye Manor is truly the place where you have to run. We just came back from this amazing countryside style house and we have been amazed and truly happy about our stay. Set within a 1000 acre estate in the heart of the West Sussex countryside, Gravetye Manor is a quintessential... More

fantastic stay at Gravetye. From the moment the doorman carried our bags to our room to our check out, all was absolutely 5 star. tea and coffee in room complimentary and good quality, all mod cons despite being so authentic and historical. breakfast one of the best i have ever had.

Get ready for a whole new level of food excellence here. You will experience restaurant heaven. The menu, setting, service, wine list and gastronomic pleasure will speak for its self. However, do not expect to escape without a large hole in your wallet!

This was my second visit to this restaurant and I must say the food on both occasions has been excellent. On this occasion it was a busy Saturday night. We enjoyed our drinks in the bar, then we were shown to our table in the main restaurant. Due to numbers, that had added a table right near the door, which sadly was... More

About an hour south of London, this place is paradise. Charm, luxury, refinement, authenticity are what define it best. Gardens are a marvel with their wide variety of plants and flowers, the lake, chicken, amazing variety of tulips, and many plantations used in the creations of the restaurant....service is attentionate and personalized. The 1* michelin start restaurant is up to... More

This hotel is not cheap but IMHO it is good value. Entering the hotel is like entering a special place. The decor is traditional and of a high standard. The rooms luxurious. We had a deal which included dinner. The food was just lovely and we await it's review in the Good Food Guide which I am sure will rate... More

I have for many years been an advocate of Gravetye Manor especially under Peter Herberts ownership, but things move on and I am so pleased that Gravetye has retained its quality and style, indeed I believe that past heights are even surpassed. We spent a most enjoyable evening here and chose the sampler menu, what a joy, the balance the... More

Really delicious food- we went for the lunch menu as there was more of what we wanted which was £30 for three courses. The food was amazing- couldn't fault it. Lovely rooms and relaxed atmosphere. Only slightly negative thing I would say was it took a lot to get the staff's attention and when asked if we could pay the... More

This was an overnight stay which my husband and I bought for each other as a birthday present. The main reason for going, was for me to see William Robinson's garden, which was one of the most beautiful small gardens I've had the pleasure to visit, and to be able to wander around without the crowds which usually accompany a... Beautiful Hotel with lots of charm and character, friendly and helpful staff and extremely good food. I visited the Gravetye for afternoon tea about 2 months ago and I will definitely go back. Inf act I would love to go for an evening meal followed by an overnight stay. You can venture around the beautiful grounds and then come in... More
