Our first visit for lunch. What a great experience. The hotel and restaurant are set in lovely grounds and the gardening staff Doing wonders with the estate. The welcome and staff were fantastic. The whole experience was very relaxed. The food was to die for. All our party of six put it at some of the best we have eaten.... More

The weather was good and the gardens great and I visited for Sunday lunch yesterday on May 27th.the . Oh dear, how things have changed particularly on the Menu. So why does a Hotel of this standard think it needs to serve shepherds pie, fish and chips and bangers and mash on it menu? It is not a Pub. This... More

Dear Sir Thank you for taking the time to give me feedback on your Sunday Lunch. I am sorry the menu didn’t deliver on expectations, all our guests on a Sunday are offered a choice of menus, our traditional lunch menu as well as our lighter menu, which on a Sunday is very popular in the lounge and gardens. On... More

Stayed here as an alternative to Gatwick Airport Hotel.stunning setting and gardens.Room very comfortable although bathroom fittings were wobbly. Restaurant I am afraid was a disappointment well belwo the standard it was trying to achieve and for the price charged.also seemed to be an excesss of undertrained staff!

We had a lovely lunch in tasteful, relaxing surroundings. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious our only criticism on that side would be the monkfish which was tough and if anything underdone but the rest was delightful. The gardens are very pretty and well worth a strol around before or afte a meal. There were log fires... More

We had never been to Gravetye before, but knew inot only of its reputation as a hotel and an important piece of gardening history, but also of the sad decline of both as a result of the harsh economic realities of the last decade. So it was with interest and a little trepidation tha t we took advantage of a... More

We retuned to Gravetye in March to find the new refurbishment has improved this lovely hotel in all the best possible ways. We stayed in Ash with its lovely Art Deco bathroom (now white rather than a grim pea green as before!) and marvelled at the homely atmosphere and warm welcome from the staff. The hotel is small and a... More

One night stay not a million miles from home for a late St. valentine's day treat (one week later). The service and general standard exactly what you would expect from a Relais and Chateau hotel. The tasting menu was excellent, only slight hitch was they forgot to bring first wine on wine flight for me - made up for it... More

I booked this as a surprise for my boyfriends birthday. For at least two weekes before reception responded to my many emails checking that everything was going to run smoothly. They were very helpful and came up with some excellent selections of their own. The grounds and building are breath taking. The staff are perfect. I think the best combination... More

We booked in the hotel for my 60th birthday weekend for 8 guests...3 doubles and 2 singles. Not only did they up-grade us ,they went out of their way to be helpful with one of my guests who was disabled. We had a private dining room each night which was wonderful as we could enjoy ourselves without annoying other guests. The rooms... We have stayed in many hotels all Over the world for work and pleasure, and truly this is one of the best experiences we've had. The room was beautiful, location great, food delicious and the staff helpful, efficient and welcoming. We couldn't fault anything. We will definitely be returning soon.
