I stayed here with my partner on New Years day and it was the most perfect getaway! Beautiful manor house, impeccable food and wine. 5 star service. Could have stayed there for much longer as it was so relaxing!

Where to start? So many wonderful things about Gravetye Manor. From the building to the gardens.. the staff.. the Manager.. the welcome.. the fires..the dozens of small touches in the rooms etc etc.. and of course the food. We booked a night and dinner here as a stress relief from a tough few months and could feel the stress melting... More

We stayed here for my husbands birthday. We had a superior deluxe room called the holly room which was on the first floor and partly overlooked the front and also one of the lakes. The hotel is situated a distance from the hotel and were greeted by one of the staff who showed us where to park. When we arrived... More

If you're looking for a getaway for some relaxation and recovery Gravetye is perfect. The rooms are eloquently decorated with large bathrooms. The restaurant has an interesting menu with set dinner and tasting menus which are excellent and the wine pairing was delicious. There isn't much to do at the location, which is perfect to clutch out.

After a long and tiring flight, rather than pressing on and getting home we unwound with a night at Gravetye Manor, and what a good decision that was! Guests are met at the door by two delightful young men in jaunty tweed caps, who whisk luggage up to the room and help sort out the car etc. The receptionist made... More

We were taken here as guests to try the taster menu for dinner one evening. The house itself is very beautiful with Elizabethan panelling and ornate plasterwork. The restaurant itself is very comfy, not too big, and the staff charming We enjoyed 8 delightful courses with accompanying wines, over about two hours. For the lighter appetite there is a la... This has to be one of the most delightful places to stay , peaceful and surrounded in its own magnificent grounds. The property is approached by its own One mile long drive , yes One Mile , and at the end you see this imposing country house built circa 1600. One of the country's finest gardeners , William Robinson ,... More

We went to Gravetye for New Year's Eve. It was obviously a very busy time - we had booked a month or so in advance. But even at full stretch, it delivered perfection. We had the set meal which boldly gave us the Signature dishes. Perhaps including a souffle half way through was a bit of a test for the... More

In 1978 I took a rather famous Hollywood film director to Gravetye. He flew his own plane into Gatwick and wanted to see a classic English country house before moving up to London and his hotel. So we lunched at Gravetye - the sun was blazing and so was the garden. The place cast a rather magical spell. Nearly 40... More
