We were treated to a dinner, bed and breakfast at Gravetye Manor by a friend who could not use her booking. What a treat it was. We were greeted by the Manager at the steps of the secret hotel, tucked away down a long, winding lane, through automatic gates. Our room was Bay, spacious, panelled, so comfortable. A double aspect... More

Spent 2 wonderful nights here. Food is excellent and the staff is fantastic. A definite must return place! Special treat is was talking to the gardener and learn about the history of the garden. Very helpful in explaining the plants and answering all our questions.

My daughter took me here for a champagne afternoon tea ... wonderful! Such elegant surroundings and delicious afternoon tea -?with a tea menu too - they accommodated my special request for vegetarian sandwiches with no fuss at all. Would love to visit again soon 😀 hint, hint

Lovely garden, as always, but the rest . . . ! We booked our garden lunch, having received an email "What could be more inviting than a glass of Pimm's in the glorious Summer gardens at Gravetye? Join us for lunch in June, July or August and enjoy a glass of Pimm's on us!". So we booked, even booked our... More

At the end of a week of garden tours in England, we called Gravetye at the last minute for a room. Luckily, they had one. At the end of a long winding road, you come upon this exquisite hotel. We stayed in the Hawthorne Room (beautiful, comfortable, with AC) and had a fabulous stay. Even though we had no reservation... More

I first visited Gravetye Manor on a garden tour, and vowed I'd bring my husband for a stay. If you know anything about English gardens, this is a must-see property. Gardens originally designed by William Robinson are now in the very capable hands of Tom Coward, who in four short years has done wonders to both restore and expand the... More

I have visited Gravetye many times and have never been disappointed. Whether staying at the hotel on trips to Glyndebourne or just for dinner this is a very special place. The ambiance, the food, the rooms are all wonderful.

Wonderful afternoon tea with great service and a lovely wander around the stunning garden and a game of croquet too. Loved every minute of our afternoon at Gravetye. Thank you to all the staff for making my parents 50th wedding anniversary suprise such a treat. Looking forward to our next visit.

I recently arranged a Golden Wedding Anniversary celebration lunch at the Gravetye for 15 adults and a child. The Events Co-ordinator was most helpful and gave us clear, detailed information before the event and ensured that it was properly organised and ran smoothly on the day. Unfortunately, she had no control over the weather, but our guests were able to... More

Stayed for one night in a classic room through offpeakluxury.com. Our rate offered an upgrade “subject to availability”, but unfortunately there was nothing available. This was a little disappointing, but that was where our disappointment ended, as everything else was excellent. The room itself was small, but well designed, and so contained everything you need. The hotel itself was really... More
