This is one of the best B&B we have ever encountered. Quite a beautiful setting in the Mendip Hills - literally out of your window. We stayed in the Swallows Nest a splendid suite with all necessary facilities. The owner, Carol, has developed her buildings and gardens so that one can only enjoy your stay. She has a very relaxing... More

Booked an impromptu visit to Bath so needed a place to sleep before heading to Wells the next day. Found this B&B after reading Tripadvisor reviews and booked Room 3. On arrival we were offered a free upgrade to a Garden Suite which we kindly accepted. This was a big surprise as we thought the price for the smaller room... More

We stayed 2 nights with Carol in the Swallows Nest. The accommodation was amazing; well equipped, comfortable self catering with a to die for view across the Mendip Hills from our roof terrace. We had the added bonus of breakfast which was delicious and a great choice. Carol was very welcoming both before and during our visit. She was so... More

A truly excellent experience. Relaxed, tasteful, comfortable, pretty, well located and charming. Carol is a superb host who is there when you need her and seemingly invisible when you don't. And the tastiest breakfast! YUM. Best value ever.

I brought my Wife here for the final stop of our honeymoon motorbike tour. What a wonderful place to stay! We had booked one of the rooms inside the main house (due to my wife's love of rolltop baths!) However Carol suggested we stay in the Stables (self contained house) at no extra charge! We loved it so much that... More

Came to stay at Beaconsfield Farm for 3 nights for my sisters wedding near by - wish we could have stayed longer - We were so busy with wedding stuff that we didn't get to relax at the BnB! The place is stunning, so very beautiful and incredibly clean. Our room was cosy, but well presented with the best bath... More

We stayed for two nights at the beginning of July 2014 and were very impressed with everything. How often does a B and B offer Bucks Fizz and smoked salmon for breakfast? Carol was very helpful and told us about the local pubs for an evening meal. The accommodation was very smart with a very modern and smart shower room.... More

Thankyou SO much for this fabulous review and for the lovely compliments. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay here at Beaconsfield Farm. The cats are nosey and a little too friendly at times - they are so used to different people coming and going it's difficult to get them to keep themselves to themselves! I do not allow... More
