Lovely stay for 2 weeks whilst moving house. Perfect place to de stress in peaceful beautiful countryside, but just a short drive to Wells & surrounding villages. Carol, the owner couldn't do enough for us & was helpful in recommending places to eat & visit. Wookey Hole inn, The Pheasant at Wookey & the Queen Vic are our favourites. Carol... More

I was woken up at 3am on Saturday night and could not sleep the rest of the small hours. A deep bass and techno beat reverberated off the quite lovely hills and meadows behind the pretty farm house, it continued into the morning but its source eluded me, despite a walk through Easton and into Westbury at 0730. At the... More

Wow... this is quite an essay! I had a feeling I might see a review such as this after your stay last weekend. I will endeavour to respond as best I can, but am not sure where to start! Firstly, no-one else heard any beat during the night of 16th. I questioned my family and other guests in the self... More

This was our second stay in the Swallows Nest. The first was back in 2009 and it was great to see the place was still as good as ever. The welcome by Carol was warm and friendly and there's a whole folder of recommendations of places to visit or eat. The place is spotlessly clean and tidy and really is... More

I recently stayed 3 nights at this gorgeous b and b set in beautiful location with views over the Mendip Hills. Convenient for visits to Cheddar Gorge and Wells Cathedral. Can't praise enough the welcome and hospitality of owner Carol. Breakfasts were to die for - so well presented and absolutely scrumptious. Beaconsfield Farm certainly deserves its five star rating... We loved the location of Beaconsfield Farm. We went for an evening walk right from the front door across fields, up the hill and then back to Easton via a little lane - simply beautiful. Wookey Hole, Ebbor Gorge, Cheddar Gorge, Wells and lots more are right on the doorstep which meant we barely had to drive any distance -... More

Wow! Thankyou so much for this fabulous review and for the lovely compliments about The Stables and the surrounding countryside. I am over the moon you enjoyed your break, and it was a real pleasure having you stay at Beaconsfield Farm. I booked a suite at this beautiful farm nestled in the Mendip hills to treat my girlfriend to a surprise birthday weekend, and was delighted by the luxurious little cabin we called our own for two splendid nights. Our host, Carol, was friendly and helpful who told us of a great route up through Priddy to get to Cheddar gorge.... More

This is one of the best B&B we have ever encountered. Quite a beautiful setting in the Mendip Hills - literally out of your window. We stayed in the Swallows Nest a splendid suite with all necessary facilities. The owner, Carol, has developed her buildings and gardens so that one can only enjoy your stay. She has a very relaxing... More

Booked an impromptu visit to Bath so needed a place to sleep before heading to Wells the next day. Found this B&B after reading Tripadvisor reviews and booked Room 3. On arrival we were offered a free upgrade to a Garden Suite which we kindly accepted. This was a big surprise as we thought the price for the smaller room... More
