We had been there 3 years ago for a day tour and decided to visit again for an overnight stay. The place is definitely charming and the casas (re-built using original antique materials) give a special atmosphere to the place with outstanding photographic spots (so much so that there was an ongoing movie shooting). They are currently building several new... More

Went for 2 nights, pool was not maintained well, beach was very dirty-not swimmable- debris floating everywhere. Restaurant food was very expensive. Breakfast is terrible, although free for the 2 adults in the room. You need to pay extra for kids. The staff scoop food into your plate- very prison-like. And they give you 1 piece of fish and 2... It was so "historic" that it felt a little eerie staying in a house where every littlest structure speak of thousand tales. The rooms were huge that our little family of three (plus the nanny) felt like little dwarves inside a giant's castle. It is really not your typical "overnight stay" in a hotel. Breakfast was average the next morning.... More

We've been here twice. After going here last year we decided to come again for another overnight stay this year. The GOOD Las Casas Filipinas is a great destination for local pinoys and visitors alike. Especially those who appreciate the historical structures of old Philippines. They've rebuilt many old houses from different parts of the Philippines here and the same... More

First off, I have to say the reservation office for Las Casas Filipinas was very responsive and accommodating. Due to the request of my father, we opted to change plans for my mom's pre-60th birthday with few weeks to spare. So I am really grateful that the reservation office was able to promptly reply on my queries and additional requests.... More

Bad timing for us, that typhoon luis join us at our stay here. The place is so nice. Lovely and perfect time machine. But i wish staff be more friendly and accommodating. And if you are a smoker.. Dont go to this place. I wish the would put a designated place for smokers and would have a smoking room. Diversity.

Staff are polite and helpful, however, they dont seem to be familiar enough with basic hotel info (operating hours of each resto, what time the street food is served, etc.) -- we asked SEVERAL times each day and we were given different answers by staff. The italian resto in the resort served good food and drinks, but i think they... More

Accommodation at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is varied and wide-ranging. Generally though the rooms and casas seem expensive considering the remoteness and class of locality, but on the one hand the rates may be reasonable considering the difficulty of - and amount spent in - restoring heritage houses. Another consideration is the historical significance of those 'casas' and the... More

2nd time to go to Bagac, 1st time in Las Casas. Most everything is pretty if not for all the construction going on. If you're into photography n walking, this place is for you. Walking was jot exactly something we were looking forward to when going on vacation, so the experience did not go too well for us. Restaurants and... More

It is nice to see the old Philippines. It's like traveling back in time. The place is really nice. But aside from the swimming pool and the restaurant, there is nothing much to do inside. Hopefully they add some activities like kayaking in the river, yoga, playground for the kids, etc.
