We wanted to escape the hubbub of christmas this year and decided to look for a quiet spot, to prop for two nights. We had booked Christmas lunch at RACV Torquay, so wanted something near by. Looking through trip advisor found the Bellbrae Hotel. What a wonderful discovery, set in a lush valley just minutes from Torquay, in a bushland... More

We had decided to stay down the coast last minute and found this place on an accommodation booking site. We booked directly through Deb and Ken who couldn't have been more helpful. They sent us text directions, organised a booking in the onsite restaurant and left the key in the cottage for us. The actual cottage/studio exceeded our expectations, very... More

We had a 4 night stay at the end of April. Late Autumn and it hadn't rained for months but the scenery and bush views were magnificent. As usual I contacted the owners direct for the booking rather than use the third party web sites that add unnecessary expense to the booking cost. Of note is the 'self service' method... More

In the middle of nowhere it would be just the two of you in harness with the unspoilt natural environment. You wake up in the morning with the calm and pleasant view of a small lake, few kangaroos hanging around (there's plenty more in the bush if you want). The accommodation is a lavish two levelled smartly designed unit full... More

We love this restaurant situated in the middle of nowhere behind Bellbrae. Each time we have visited we have been entranced with the blending of flavours, the innovative and enthusiastic approach to food and the enthusiasm of the chef who takes delight in explaining his dishes and how they are created. This restaurant is first class and we would recommend... More

A nice hidden gem that we were fortunate enough to discover. Tucked away in a quiet and serene location are individual cottages that are beautifully designed. A lot of thoughts have gone into providing the guests with all the amenities that they need and the beautiful surrounding make it a perfect romantic escape. The owners are lovely people who made... After a lot of research, we decided to book Bellbrae. Unfortunately, things came up. We asked them for advice and Deb said to make the situation better for us they'd be willing to refund. Fantastic service. Kind people. Thanks to Deb and Ken.

A wonderful little escape, set in acres of tranquil grounds that allow you to experience the best of Australian wildlife. The very rural location may be disconcerting to some, but don't let that deter you as you'll miss out on one of the highlights from our trip. The owners have clearly put a lot of care and consideration into converting... More
